Soueri is a very poor ship with hardly any development.
.
I think the one thing that pisses me off about Tsukuda is that he can have Tosh draw and flaunt the many of his characters in the covers or Le Desserts for that matter when he was the one who didn't give the majority of them next to no spotlight for us to get attached to them more. I don't know. It just feels like he's saying "yay, here's all these characters we all know and love despite not a lot of them getting any spotlight in favor of Souma and Erina!" Like fuck off. You had the opportunity to let a lot of your characters shine, but you're such a bad author that you'd rather focus on two characters only.
MEGUMI LOOKS FUCKING CUTE GROWN UP That is all.
I also love how it really felt like Tsukuda just wanted to get over that flashback with Soma's mom just to get to Nakiri/Asahi bs instead. We still don't know how or why she passed away as well as the explanation behind Soma's scar. Just that she was originally a delinquent to a chef to a caring mother. (Plus, seeing baby Soma was super adorable.) It was such a satisfying read that I wish Tsukuda had introduced it sooner and not in 3 epilogue chapters as well as more interactions between the family and how it all made Soma the way he is. And that's what's frustrating. For a main character, we STILL know much less about Soma and his own past than we know everything about Erina and her dumb drama and still are to this day with this stupid relevation that was really unneeded. When Tsukuda himself said that this chapter was about "a certain someone", I was expecting Tamako, not Asahi. If Tsukuda really wanted his story to be Shokugeki no Erina then he should've done so from the beginning instead of wasting time making such a large cast only to abandon them. In a way, it DOES feel like he is subtly trolling his readers at this point and if that's the case then I sincerely hope that he don't write another manga until he gets better cause it shows that he's incompetent.
>Fucking Asahi is actually Erina's stepbrother So you're telling me that all this time we had what would have been slight incest in this manga, Tsukuda?
Honestly this epilogue chapter made me feel nostalgic for the beginning chapters of SnS again when it all had that comfy feel to it before Central. It felt like the old times again.
If we hadn't had all of these tournaments, villains, and every character actually involved and learned more about them and grow instead of focusing on Soma and Erina then it wouldn't have had to go to this fate. It really saddens me.
Shame these are only three chapters cause I'd actually be down if it continued from here as long as it's handled right which I strongly doubt. Keep Soma away longer please though. He got stale and boring and I think it's better without him.
I like the Polar Star Dorm members.m, Alice and co, etc.
What I DON'T like is how Tsukuda is having Tosh basically play dress up with these characters and expects us all to be excited to see their growth and all when really they have all been shafted in favor of Soma and Erina. It may come off as nitpicky; if you think so then I completely understand.
But Tsukuda had that opportunity to make them not be basically cheerleaders and he fucked that up. I liked them early on and they all had potential just as much as Megumi and Takumi whom Tsukuda fucked up just as much. (Maybe Takumi not so much.)
Rindou became hotter wow Hisako looks super cute with that ponytail
LET MEGUMI'S PONYTAIL DOWN GODDAMN IT
Well damn
And I just realized that was Alice on the top panel. The long hair made me think it was Erina
Holy shit Yuki what kind of hair products do you use? Now you look like Sailor Moon
I love how Tsukuda showed more and more that Mana was just a plot device to push the two protags together Cause she doesn't even show up at all in the extra chapter despite Erina winning. No mother daughter bonding, no reaction of Mana eating her food, acknowledging her, etc.
It's such a shame that no matter how good of a point that someone makes in their post about SnS, some others will just ignore those good points and just focus on what they like that was partially one of the things that ended up ruining the quality of the series in the first place.
Create a dish that will satisfy Mana as if it was this important thing! Soma: *creates a dish to help Erina feel better instead* Erina: *suddenly gets better and acts like a joke character like Soma despite acting all depressed that she wanted to impress her mom* Mana: *shown to be someone to be taken seriously since BLUE started, but just sits there as if the two and Tsukuda had forgotten that she was there the entire time despite it being the final match* The End! Bravo Tsukuda.
