I watched this like 5 minutes
I love this.
Be free. Let your main intention for the year be to find freedom in everything you do. Let go of the things that are weighing you down. Let go of the things that are no longer serving you. Let go of expectation. Let go of judgement. Let go of your past. Let it all go. Don’t hold back. Live freely and let your spirit soar. Surrender to what is and find the freedom of living the life you were truly meant to live. Be light. Be present. Be free.
I liked this message.
we went for a quick drive around the city this afternoon. stumbled upon this huge hat and boots park and stopped at the machine house brewery in the old rainier building. nice outing for a rainy day.
Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different.

this is a snap shot of our thanksgiving in portland. we got to hang out with my brother and lots of other family. we made our way around portland and had a great time. we stayed along the river and had a beautiful view of mt. hood from our room.
thanksgiving with my family was enjoyable to say the least. everyone brought old pictures and we spent hours going through them all and reminiscing. the food was of course delicious and it was so nice to be around family.
i am already looking forward to next year.
my seattle mornings this week
this is what i did today. i love how it came out.
always a good reminder and exactly what i needed today.
life lately
i have been away from this space for quite a while now. i didn’t intend to be gone this long it just happened. it always just happens. a lot has happened since i was here, but at the same time nothing has really happened. i have been working a lot, a real time suck. i did get to go out for field work and had a great time.
then i was back in the office and things got a little crazy. outside of work the biggest thing that happened is my dad came to visit. i love when he comes to visit and i loved every moment we had together. he worked on our house for us installing a new light and outlets in our shed. another home improvement project success. Between him working on our house, we went to the pumpkin patch and carved pumpkins, a soccer game, out to eat, walks around the neighborhood, the glass garden downtown, and shopping.
i think my favorite time with him was in the mornings. we would make a pot of coffee and watch old tv shows until the sun came up. it was dark until about 7 am so we had about 45 minutes of time to talk and just hang out. i felt at peace during this time and soaked it all in.
since he left it has mostly been about work. I have a month before thanksgiving and my goal is to enjoy a little more of this fall season and not lose all my time to work. gustavo and i have our life going on right now and i don’t want to miss it. there are so many things i want to do and think about and my goal for now is to start doing and enjoying and letting the less important things wait until later. sometimes the blues catch up with me, but once i can get out from under them, i see that i am pretty lucky. i am thankful for gustavo and all he brings to our life together.
our weekend in chelan. we had a great time walking around the small town, browsing the shops, eating and drinking with the locals, taking in all the views, relaxing, and enjoying one anothers company.
i loved every minute gustavo and i had together. it was a wonderful weekend to end our summer days this year.
now i'm in grand coulee for work and i miss gustavo already.
we all enjoyed the view from our hike of little mount si.
we spent our labor day weekend puttering around the house, bbq-ing, walking and getting coffee, and hiking rattlesnake ledge.
best relaxing weekend we have had in a long time.
i made a chocolate cake with raspberry filling, raspberry buttercream frosting, and a chocolate ganache. it came out pretty and tastes so rich.
my sister came to town and it was awesome. we packed in so much in their three day visit. sounders game, bbqs, mariners game, the space needle, fremont troll, gas works park, greenlake, fish and chips, chucks for beer, and lots of time hanging out and laughing. we loved having them here and i can't wait for them to come back soon.
a day with my mom at the portland rose garden.
we loved wandering through all of the roses taking in their scents and their beauty.
