• Spray your hairbrush with perfume before you blow-dry to transfer the scent to your hair and make it smelling good all day long.
• To make your clothes smell like your perfume without having to spray each outfit, spray your perfume on pieces of tissue paper and line your drawers with them.
• When youre applying your perfume dont rub it in because that will be breaking down the molecules causing it to wear off faster.
• Before spraying your perfume, apply some vaseline to the areas where you wear your perfume. This should help the spray “stick” so you stay smelling beautiful the whole day.
• Apply perfume on you “pulse points” neck and neckline, wrists, inside your elbows and knees..ect
• The best time to apply perfume is right after you hop out of the shower. Spritz some on your skin after drying off and putting on your clothes, your skin will absorb the scent better. If you dont have enough time to hop in the shower, apply a small amount of unscented lotion before you spray. Perfume lasts longer on hydrated skin.

Laziness: I’d rather sit here than pick up those clothes
Executive Dysfunction: I need to pick up those clothes I need to pick up those clothes why am I still watching this thing on Netflix while sitting down c’mon stand up I need to pick up those clothes I need to pick up those clothes I need to-
Holy shit you nailed it
Laziness: I don’t want to do the thing so I’m not going to do the thing and I’m not going to worry about it because I don’t care.
Procrastination: I’m purposely putting off doing the thing because I don’t want to do the thing and this may or may not be causing me anxiety depending on how important the thing is.
Executive Dysfunction: I may or may not want to do the thing but regardless I can’t seem to do the thing and it is causing me great anxiety because the thing needs to be done.
I need tips on taking textbook notes please! I always get bored reading and then I end up just writing down bolded words with no context (which is really bad I know) any tips to help take more efficient textbook notes without having to spend hours (because I have 3 content heavy classes that I need to take notes for)
Hi there! I know this post may feel basic, but I feel like you’re struggling with basic skills like summarising a topic and writing things in your own words, so I tried my best to explain things in a step-by-step action-oriented list so that you can stand on your own ‘feet’ when you’re studying :)
The Basics of Studying From a Textbook
1. The textbook may be boring, but you’ve still got to read it.
Unfortunately, high school and university isn’t a walk in the park :( I know, some days it’s hard, but you’ve still got to put in at least a modicum of hard work if you want to do well.
Sometimes, the studyblr community perpetuates the idea that there’s some sort of “secret” to being a straight-As, 4.0GPA, HD WAM student, but there’s only studying techniques to make things easier. You’re still going to need a basic level of motivation, discipline, time management, organisation and study in order to do well.
So even though the textbook is boring, you’re either going to have to convince yourself that the topic is interesting, or pull up your socks, buckle down, and actually read it.
2. Reading speed is a limiting factor on how fast you can take notes.
Try reading the textbook without taking any notes and time how long it takes you. That’s going to be the minimum time it takes, so if doing all the reading for 3 content heavy courses takes at least an hour or two, then reading and taking notes is going to be much more than that (roughly more than double the time), so you can’t speed it up any faster than your base reading speed.
I recommend trying speed reading techniques, but that would take a whole separate post, so I won’t go into that here.
3. Learn how to summarise a topic.
At the moment it seems like you’re struggling and not really understanding how to summarise topics, and just relying on the textbook to tell you what’s important.
To summarise something, you’ll need to write down the key points (the most important information) from something that you read in the fewest number of words reasonable. I’m sure you already knew that, but you must not be putting it into practice because of what you’re telling me in your ask.
4. Write things in your own words.
Again, once you learn how to summarise, writing it in your own words will solidify that information in your brain. Explain the topic in layman’s terms to a family member, which forces you to use your own words. If you live alone, try a stuffed toy or rubber duck.
5. Start off by annotating your class notes.
I think initially you should start off with annotating just until you learn what information is important and what’s not. Class notes usually have 80% of the important information in brief points, and the textbook colours in the rest.
6. Use the “gummy bears” method.
I know it’s elementary, but you seemed to be having trouble with discipline and boredom, so place gummy bears on every paragraph as a crutch to get yourself to finish reading everything. Once you train yourself to do things that you don’t want to do, then you won’t have to use any cheap tricks, as you’ll be disciplined enough to read pages and pages without needing constant “carrot on a stick” rewards.
Once you’ve done those, here are my masterposts for content heavy courses:

Current mood Listening to my body and resting. Drinking plenty of electrolytes and getting protein in!! Excited about eating pozole tonight 😋
Hey y’all it’s been a while. So I started this contest in order to help me get back on track. The holidays took a little toll lol. 4oz of chicken, 3 oz broccoli and some white rice. Your girl turns 21 tomorrow but that doesn’t mean I have to eat really bad. All in moderation guys. Will be posting full body pics and compare them again every month. Excited to be back!! #loveyourbody #workoutmotivation #foodprep #itstartsnow #trainyourassoff #eatrightfeelright
365 days • One Year • 52 Weeks 30 lbs down as of today. I didn’t start this account until i started feeling more comfortable with my body and even now I still don’t feel like where I want to be. 2017 was such an eye opening year for me. From learning who I am as a person, learning to be by myself, my relationships with other people, to challenging my mind, soul and body. The transformation doesn’t happen over night. You have to put the work in . I sweated, I cried, I took some time off, I ate really bad, but I never gave up. I can only imagine how I’m going to change in 2018 with everything I learned in 2017. During my vacation in Mexico I wore a dress where I felt like I was as flat as could be. As my mind started racing with negative thoughts my sister looked at me and said you earned the right to look like you do. In that moment I realized that she was right. If I had been thirty pounds a heavier, with no confidence, I wouldn’t have even thought about putting on the dress. I’m so thankful for everyone that’s given me advice and has helped get to where I am now. #transformation #motivation #saturday #clubfitness #workout #selflove #workinprogress (at Club Fitness)
I’ve been a little bit absent but my vacation was much needed. These last three weeks have been so much fun. I’ve seen childhood friends and family members grow up. I’ve been pretty loose on my diet and training but excited to start back up again when I get back to the States. So glad I could come to Carlitos Wedding!! The food is so good here 😋 (at Michoacan de Ocampo, Mexico)
Weighed myself this morning because I thought why the hell not. 30 pounds lost this year. It’s been such an emotional journey. There’s been so many positives this year and many setbacks. From getting sick to not being able to eat. In the beginning of the year I never thought I’d ever lose so much weight. I started working out for the wrong reasons and now I work out to help me stay sane lol. My body has changed so much even though at times I felt like there was no progress. Best thing you can do is trust the process. I’m super excited for my trip to Mexico!! One more day to go. #weightlosstransformation #transformationtuesday #motivation #workhard #ifuckingdidit #girlswholift #latinafitness #timetoenjoy
Hey guys, it’s been a bit. Here you have a picture of Panda Express. It’s been a little rough these last couple of weeks. Ive been really stressed with exams and personal stuff. Now you’re probably asking yourself what does that have to do with Panda Express. Well you see with so much stress I’ve lost some weight. Not healthy either more due to stress and under eating. I’m not happy about it. It’s been more like I don’t have time to eat bec I’d rather study or do homework. So my little sister bought me some Panda today. I was in my nighttime class when she texted me about it. I almost started crying because 1) I hadn’t ate since breakfast and 2) because even though it’s something small like food it brought me so much happiness that my sister thought of me. Especially with everything that’s going on. Thursdays seem to be very hard on me. So with that ending, I’m going to go eat and study for my chemistry exam. #weightlossjourney #selflove #family #chinesefood #stress
Currently studying for my Chem exam and doing some lab work. Anybody feeling stressed lately about school? Decided I need to give myself a break and heading to the gym tonight. Thinking of some a full body circuits. #weightlossjourney #eatcleantraindirty #motivation #studythenplay #workoutmotivation #schoolfirstalways
Finally trying this out!! It’s a bit dense but the taste is not too overpowering. #musclemilkprotein #weightlosstransformation #motivationwednesday #mealprep #studybuddy #proteinshake
So I forgot to post what I was going to eat but I ended up falling asleep. I’ve been sick since last night and so far have only been able to eat half a bowl of cereal and drink pedialite and a protein smoothie. Stomach is super sensitive right but but currently working on my paper for Spanish. Hope everyone had a good weekend! #progress #sickandtiredofbeingsickandtired #proteinshake #upsetstomach #weightlossjourney #restdaysunday (at St. Louis)
