I used to fear being told that my art is too childish, too colourful, too cliched etc. Well, I don’t think it should quite matter that much. My ideas are mine and I don’t copy. I love fairytale themes and magical, dreamy scenes in my work. As an artist, I think we should be more comfortable in expressing what we like to make freely and openly without fear of judgement or ridicule, because one has to know when doing anything.. they will receive criticism and praises both. Sometimes more of either the former or the latter. But that’s alright. That’s how you learn to question your own work,see what you like or don’t like or want to improve upon. ♥️

What advice do you have for someone wanting to improve their poetry? And are longer sentences better or shorter ones?

Read poetry.

Write poetry.

Breathe poetry.

Eat poetry.

Develop your own style. Create your own worlds. There’s no way to do poetry wrong, no matter how long the lines or stanzas. You make the rules.

The cruellest sin my mind commits is to show pretty pictures of what could be, Warm golden light, soft focus,  Laughter and happiness, Love and relationships,

Abruptly, it stops reeling and I’m left in the cold, damp dark, Left to pick up the pieces of a life I know all too well is nothing like such dreams
