I didn’t mean to disappear for a nearly a week, I just needed some time away from the house. But I am back here and more badass than ever. Who missed me?

No harm done. It’s nice to see people feel passionate about something, TV shows included. And they certainly do. They did name me after Barbra Streisand, after all. Well, Barbra and Rachel Green.

So now I know where you get your drive from, they seem like wonderful men. And Rachel Green? Friends Rachel? That's so awesome, I love that show. But to answer your previous inquiry I think I owe you a cocktail lesson now. You might be cute but if you insult my shows, even that can't stop you getting my wrath.

That comment was severely misinterpreted! Let me be clearer. It wasn’t an insult; it was commentary on two things: the fact that it began when people in our age group were children and that the target audience was indeed not children. Most of the fans of the show I’ve met were already adults in the nineties as opposed to people who have recently entered their twenties. Rest assured, I have nothing negative to say about fans of the show. My dads happen to love it.

Oh... Oops? I guess I just get defensive over my favorite show. Apologies. But. Yeah. Now you know. I guess I was just mature for my age. Your dads have impeccable taste by the way.

I’ve been told on many occasions that I’m lucky I’m cute because it helps me to get by despite an abrasive personality. Granted, that’s often stated in less polite terms, but I’m glad to see it’s working for me here too. Anyway, from our interactions to this point, I’m not too surprised that you like indie movies, but aren’t you a little young to be a Sex and the City fan?

Oh, I see. Would you be willing to teach me a little sometime? I don’t have experience in mixing anything, just drinking it every once in a while.

Wait- too young for Sex and the City? Really? What? Okay, excuse me. Firstly, no one is 'too young' to witness the lives of four friends growing up in a big city, I'm not 'too young' to want to follow the excitements and climaxes that go on in their lives. How else am I supposed to know what to do when my future spouse cheats on me with our nanny?- Or, or... About the privileges of living the cosmopolitan life? I can confirm, no. I'm not too young. Sex and the City is an art in itself, I aspire to become a Carrie Bradshaw myself on day, actually.

But I suppose I could put that comment to the back of my mind and teach you a few things, potentially, if I can forgive you.

In line with her hopes, Rachel was only waiting for a few peaceful minutes before the telltale sound of the sliding door alerted her to Elise’s presence. Turning in the direction of the sound, she smiled at the sight of the blonde in the doorway and waved a hand in salutation. “Agreed. The temperature is just right. I’ll have to remember to try to get out of the house before the sun has a chance to make the heat unbearable in the future.”

Making note of the other woman’s extended arms, Rachel, pleasantly surprised, stood from her seat on the mat and approached Elise for a hug. She was rarely opposed to such a gesture, having been labeled a “hugger” in her high school years. In fact, she’d begun warning people of an imminent embrace prior to initiating the contact somewhere down the line. “Good to see you too, Elise,” she replied as she let her arms drop back to her sides and stepped back onto her mat. “I have to say, your presence gives me a little peace of mind right now. This outdoor setup debunks my vampire theory since the sun should be out any minute now.”

As it was always important to her to make a good first impression, she thought that hugs were definitely a memorable way to introduce herself; not only was she showing Rachel how affectionate she could be, but also she liked to think she was a friendly face around the house and pretty relaxed too - it would take a lot to knock Elise off of her course. So, pulling back from their embrace, she moved to join the other girl on the mats after having rolled out her own so that they were side by side. "I mean..." Her lips curled up into a grin, chuckling around her thoughts which, of course she wouldn't let the vampire thing go. "Yeah, I can assure you that I'm most definitely not a vampire, you can relax, I won't bite you." She laughed, shaking her head.

It was then that her gaze was taken by the laptop set out in front of them, "Using my favorite platform of education and entertainment." She smirked, "I like it." Of course, she was being paid big by YouTube to name drop them a few times whilst she was in the house but she just left it at that, with just a small swell of pride in her stomach as she was seeing the company she'd been a part of for so long grow even bigger. "This looks like a good ability too, I must admit I'm far from being a pro." She warned her, stretching her body out to get her muscles ready to wake up. "Alright..." Taking a deep breath in, and then out, Elise beamed. "Are you ready to go, princess?"

You would definitely not like watching your favorite movies with me, then. Boy, do I ask questions. I’m also a pretty big fan of making predictions, which are correct the majority of the time, I might add. But what are your favorite movies, now that we’re on the subject?

Cocktails? Were you a bartender before you got into vlogging?

Oh wow, maybe not, you're right. But I suppose if you were extra nice to me and we were just having a chill movie night, I wouldn't mind your predictions and questions, plus you're quite cute so I can't see me getting mad at you, don't worry. My favorite movies, oh! Okay, so Pretty Woman, Grease, Sex & The City (1 and 2, obviously) and like, The Breakfast Club, Perks of Being A Wallflower, kind of hipster, indie movies as well.

Bartender? Heavens, no! I just have a lot of free time because YouTube is my job... I taught myself a crap load of recipes. Virgin and alcoholic.

Oh, I more than like her; she’s my inspiration. If you feel like finally completing Funny Girl today, I’m going to be watching it in a few hours (I’m currently on The Way We Were and will be moving on to Yentl when it’s over). I’ve saved it for last because it’s my favorite movie. If not, I always enjoy Barbra alone too.
