Tyler smiled over at Azalea, ââLeast itâs something you like, though.â His smile started to turn into a chuckle before he flinched when she started yelling. He was more amused by it than anything. âIâm sorry, it just slips out sometimes is that a problem, Azalea?â Tyler asked, raising his voice a bit, though not nearly as loud as hers had been. He was going to continue but the waitress came up to their table with their plates.
Azalea shrugged at him, "Yeah, that is true." She felt her cheeks warm up after she realized how loud she had been, "So sorry about that. Sometimes I can't control how loud I am--the softball player in me." As the waitress set their plates down in front of them, she smiled at how delicious it smelled. "I bet this tastes as amazing as it smells."

"Well when you spend half your life working and the other half sleeping it doesnât leave much time to invite people over," Tyler responded, laughing as he joked as well. "But yes, you should feel special. You are one of the few I deem worthy to see my house. ç„èŽșæšăâ Something out of the corner of his eye caught Tylerâs attention, and he looked over to see a waitress with a platter in her hand. âIf that isnât our food Iâm going to be so disappointed,â he said mostly to himself, trying to see the dishes on the platter.
Azalea nodded, "That's similar to the reason I don't really have friends outside of softball. I spend half my life in dirt and the other half in my bed." She chuckled realizing how much her life revolved around softball. "UGH TYLER YOU KNOW I CAN'T SPEAK ANYTHING BUT ENGLISH AND FRENCH DON'T DO THAT TO ME!" She yelled, a little too loud. "Ahh, I hope that's our food. I'm so hungry." She mumbled, trying to keep her voice low.

Tyler let his smile fade when he saw her turning red, thinking that he had teased her enough already. When she asked if it would be alright with his parents, he waved a dismissive hand. âThey wonât mind, I promise. Theyâre pretty laid back. We donât have anything going on, theyâll probably even be happy that Iâm having someone over,â he added with a shy laugh.
"Well as long as they don't mind then I'd love to come over." Azalea smiled at him once her blush faded. "It sounds like you rarely invite people over--I feel special then," she joked.Â

"Itâs hard to win in a lot of situations," Tyler smiled sadly, glancing down at the table. "Guess thatâs just the way it is, though." He shrugged. It was true enough, he had gone through a lot of situations like that. Though maybe it was a bit much to assume other people did as well, Tyler thought. But he smiled cheekily at her once again when she seemed to start stumbling. "So is that a âyesâ, then? Hmm, I donât really feel like going anywhere after this to be honest, so maybe we can just hang out at my place for a while? You could stay as long as you like if you do, my parents donât mind much about those things."
Azalea shrugged at his comment, knowing he was right. She felt her cheeks turn red as she stumbled over her words. When she noticed his cheeky smile, she began to bite her lip. "Y-yeah. That sounds fine. Are you sure they won't mind though? I wouldn't want to impose or anything..."

"Ah, well, we donât want a messy Az," Tyler chuckled. He glanced away and watched as a couple left the restaurant. "I suppose so, but sometimes there are things that are better off not being said," he shrugged as he turned back to Az. He was quiet for a moment, unsure of what to say. "Did you want to do anything after this?" Tyler finally asked, his eyebrows raising slightly.
Azalea smiled at Tyler, "Of course we don't. A flawless Az is much better." She flipped her hair at her sarcastic comment. "That is true, but keeping some things inside isn't the best either. It's hard to win in such situations." She looked at him after watching a couple leave the restaurant. "Uh, well uh... I mean if you want to we can.. But it's up to you."Â Smooth, Azalea, smooth.Â

Tyler chuckled slightly, tearing off another piece of his breadstick. âEither a vulnerable butterfly or an angry bear?â he repeated, âSeems like a pretty big difference between the two.â Honestly, Tyler couldnât really picture Azalea being that angry, but that was just because he had never really seen her like that. âAh, hopefully nothing between us will come to something like that, though. I really only mentioned it because Iâm having a difficult time with thinking before talking right nowâŠâ He figured he might as well be blunt with her.
"I am a fragile flower unless you anger me," Azalea admitted. She figured Tyler couldn't imagine her angry and its true--she rarely got angry. "You never want to see me that angry. Or see me wilt like a flower. Both are very messy," she giggled lightly. "Don't worry about it, Ty. I'd rather you say what you're thinking than hide it, you know?"

Tyler shrugged nonchalantly at her comment. âEverybody is every now and then.â Pulling the bread back towards himself, Tyler took out a piece for himself. âIâm really only really an ass when Iâm angryâŠYouâve never really seen me angry, have you?â The question was thoughtful, more to himself than anything. Not that he hoped she would see him angry anytime soon, of course. He took a bite of his bread and shrugged again. âWell, I apologize in advance, if you ever doâ he said once he had finished chewing.
Azalea looked up at him, "Uhm, I don't believe I have. And I hope I don't, because when people get angry at me, I'm either a vulnerable little butterfly or an angry bear trying to defend herself." She smiled, "I hopefully wont, but if it ever happens, it's okay--in advance haha."

Tyler nodded once when Azalea repeated the word to him. âMmm, thatâs it exactly,â he confirmed. âHere, have a congratulatory breadstick.â He pushed the small basket easily towards her. âI donât think Iâm a jerk face, though. Because I just taught you how to properly say allâarrabbiata.â Smiling gently, Tyler leaned forward and tapped the tip of her nose. âNah, Iâm a pretty nice guy, I like to think.â
"Eh, not that much of a jerk face." Azalea smiled. She took a breadstick from the basket and took a bite. As she was chewing, she felt Tyler tap the tip of her nose. "You're nice most of the time. However, sometimes you can be a jerk face. But it's okay, I can be too."
