I'm against having robin in a sequel. This batman is too young and I think that are other things to be explored about his character, instead of becoming an adoptive father. Like he is not in the place to be a mentor. Robin should be used on a movie with an older batman like ben affleck.

for a moment I thought what if lola/clement are like rue/elliot on euphoria like self destructive besties but I don't think they would go there because of the skam format it would be pretty much impossible to make a well done relapse storyline so I think is just misleading

I think i was a little disappointed with seeing the high school setting again, I was kind of hoping that having an older main who isn't in school anymore we would explore more of the young adult life and all the messes of this period. like, sure she is going to be there for a job, but it seems like it's more to be close to lola than idk needing the money

on the other hand it was nice to see that lola has friends outside of lamif and isn't dependent of them.

still thinking about the euphoria x skam comparisson, I do think euphoria did a better job portraying addiction, because with lola sometimes it feels almost whitewashed.

The reactions of the fandons are also so different.

There where many occasions where Rue didn't behave well: she lied, she yelled at people, she said hurtful things. Sometimes under drug influence, sometimes because of abstinence. But I don't think she was ever hated by the fans, because she's a fleshed out character, she's flawed and this is just one side of her and it doesn't define her. Most people can understand that.

With Lola though ... It's like, she's not allowed to fuck up.

if she fucks up, people either say a) she's a bad person , b) it's bad and problematic writing

maybe it's because skam has a younger fanbase, who knows

I respect different perspectives, but personally I think it's important to show this. until this point I was thinking lola's addiction was almost being romanticized.

that's how people under the effect of drugs act. they're can be the kindest person on earth, but under the drugs influence they can became mean spirited. they lie. they manipulate.

I think it's important to show and to remind people that that drug addiction will not only hurt you but those who love you as well.

lola was hurted by her mother's disease. and she's doing the same.

I don't think that's wrong to show. It doesn't mean they are demonizing lola either. I empathize with her deeply.

Euphoria did a great job with this as well for those who might be interested.
