milly is closest to leo for obvious reasons. growing up, milly relied on him more than anyone. as the eldest of the three, he ended up having to take care of his younger siblings (particularly milly, since owen was lucky enough to be cared for by their step-mom) and so had to grow up faster than he should've. despite being mature and protective over his siblings, he's still kind of that older brother figure who seems like he doesn't care and is annoyed by what his younger siblings do. whenever milly has problems with other people in the family, she can count on leo to understand what she's going through.

milly and owen have a very complicated relationship. owen is quite literally the living personification of her trauma, and sometimes jealousy gets to her. still, milly tries her best to be kind to him because she understands how awful their (step)mom is. she gives him gifts and supports him, but is also a mean older sister who subscribes to the tough love sort of perspective. owen is also smart enough to know that if he's treated a little differently by her, it's because of what he has and what she didn't get to have (a mother that loves her). he actively tries to mend that part of their relationship and folds whenever milly has a fit to avoid being in the way of her fits.

for most of his life, he's always been the nice and quiet kid. that usually gets him taken advantage of. one day, instead of always just saying yes and bending over backwards for everyone, he finally decides to go apeshit. now he deliberately tries to be mean and snarky when he's had enough. until then, he's still the quiet guy with a book under his nose that everyone knows.

mr. cheung's father established arcadia hotels and resorts in the early 70s which quickly gained success and recognition. by the time mr. cheung inherited the business, the family had several hotels and resorts in america and around the world. he followed his father's business plans in detail and has been buying properties to turn into new hotels and casinos. currently, mr. cheung is trying to buy the appleberry's local inn that's located in parkview.
before mrs. lin-cheung, he was briefly married to a woman and adopted vina.

mrs. lin-cheung was an heiress of a large real estate and land development company that was crashing down hard in the early 2000′s. as a desperate attempt to keep her family’s legacy afloat, she and mr. cheung decided to marry. was it out of necessity? was it out of love? is their marriage like entirely loveless and they have their own issues / affairs to deal with ??? that’s up to the players. ultimately, it was to merge both businesses and to create a group of companies.

vina was adopted by mr. cheung and his ex-wife, and is the eldest of the cheung siblings. her father had been training her to take over the company one day since she was a teenager. now fully hands-on with the company and its affairs, vina has become jaded about how the company is actually being run and aims to right its evils. however, with all the systems in place her father put to exploit, vina finds herself having a hard time balancing what she believes in and what was set upon her to do.
NOAH LIN-CHEUNG, 28 — junhui. played by allie.
noah, despite being first child between mr. cheung and mrs. lin-cheung, was second in succession. being the middle child, he had the freedom to do what he wanted without the burden of his father's expectations. he parted from the family to create his own path, only for him to be reeled back in by an unfortunate circumstances and a negotiation.

mr. and mrs. appleberry first fell in love in high school and have been in love ever since. they spent their years after high school traveling and exploring — and are always up for an adventure. they're the kind of people who immediately treats you like their own. at first they worked desk jobs that they were miserable with, but eventually they started establishing their own cozy inn. with a large family like theirs, they thought that extending their hospitality to others was the next logical step.
the cheungs' have offered them a great amount of money to sell their property, but the appleberry's are not willing to let go of their cozy little inn - not even for a pretty penny. the inn currently has 5 cabins that you can book rooms of, or as a whole. the family / ancestral cabin is also located on the same property, built by mr. appleberry himself.
