I'm Azure. I'm a cyan colored-ish spinel. I go by They/Them.. Sapphic.. I dislike.. A lot of things. I'm also like, totally not mentally unstable in the slightest-- WHOEVER SAID SO IS WRONG!

Ahem, anyway.. I'm kinda uh.. Missing a shard I guess. Could say that as a metaphor, but I'm genuinely missing a piece, pft. I refuse to get into too many details why, but I'm SORE ASF all the time cos of it, and tend to glitch. So, I guess sorry for that? Nah, not sorry. [Squeak] you.

-Jasper raps on the door of the Spinel family apartment. She is still heated from her previous encounter with Cache, but she takes in a shaky breath and rakes her fingers through her hair. When Azure opens the door, they are greeted with Dagr's unharmed gem in Jasper's hand.-

They immediately shoot up in alarm at the gem in the quartzes palm, reaching out quickly to snatch it from her.

"..Holy [squeak]... I.. How the.. Did you fight her??"

The questions tumbled out so fast they almost bit their tongue, pressing their sisters gem into their chest and holding it close with furrowed brows.

"..Will she.. Remember..? I.. Stars.. [Squeak].. Okay, get in here- I need ya tah tell me what happened.. An' Star will probably wanna see ya.... Forest.."

Mumbling the last word with a pained expression, Azure walked away from the door, leaving it wide open for Jasper to follow. The house was partly cleaned up now, surprisingly. Spinel was in the middle of folding something, though she still didn't look like herself; vibrant pink eyes had replaced her usual pie-slice. Star and the twins were in the middle of the living room area with a few toys.

"Oh! Hiyya!"

-Jasper awkwardly scratches the back of her head. Azure probably won't be pleased at her answer, mostly because of how risky it all was. In the spirit of honesty, she doesn't bother spinning it in a sugary way.-

"Look, Azure. I'm gonna be honest with you here... I did something... not that smart. Again. I... ahh... pretended to join Cache's side in order to try and save Dagr- err, Forest... and dispose of that pathetic peridot for good. I achieved one of those things at least."

-Her eyes are downcast. It's hard to meet anyone's gaze. She turns to a reset Spinel and manages a wobbly half-smile. The smile turns to an even wobblier grin when she sees the three gemlings, growing happily, though still having to bear those wretched collars.-

"Oh, uhh... h-Hey, Spinel. And how are my lil nieces and nephew doin'?"

Azure almost dropped Forest before deciding to sigh heavily and not bother about how FUCKING STUPID of an idea that was.

"..Look, I ain't in the mood to yell.. My emotions are fritzed enough.. Just.. Thank you.. For gettiin' her back.. I.."

They trailed off, not finishing their words as they entered the bedroom quietly. Spinel watched before giggling softly at Jasper,

"Ya know, Azzy told me bout ya! Actually, they told me a lot! I dunno exaaaaccctly who ya are anymore, but I know ya care."

She stated simply before Star shot up upon seeing Jasper, almost falling over the toy she had been playing with in the process.

"JASPER! J- AH-"

Star hunched over a bit as a visible shock lit up her form and she clenched her eyes in fear.. Slowly it died enough for her to shake it off with a shaky inhale.

"..Jasper..?"

"Hey don't worry... about... it...

-Jasper barely finishes her sentence before Azure walks away, and she turns to Spinel to try and avoid feeling too awkward. Unfortunately, introducing herself for a second time feels awkward enough already.-

"Um, I'm Jasper. Or Jas. Sometimes, Spi- ... you would call me that."

-The large quartz then turns to Star, readying herself to catch the little gemling in her arms. Instead, she watches Star fight off a shock from that blasted collar. There has to be a way to remove them without hurting the gem underneath.-

"Star!"

-Jasper kneels down beside the tiny gemling, rubbing her back gingerly, hoping to provide some level of comfort.-

Looking.. Genuinely worried despite her innocent demeanor, Spinel shuffled over to check on Star as well, gently looking over her with the prod of her fingers. Almost like a doting mother would. Maybe something in her sparked back from the occurrence.

"Are ya okay, small thing? That wasn't fun... Stars, I.."

Spinel furrowed her brows and something dark flashed over her face before she shook it off and carefully pulled Star into a hug.

Star sniffled a little, then nuzzled into Jaspers and Spinels touch with a pained expression she tried to hide with a hand.

"I-I'm okay.. H-hard to talk.."

"Shhh.. No talkin' then.. M.. Momma is sorry.."

-Jasper takes note of the look on Spinel's face, though it is fleeting.-

"Spinel, are you okay?"

"Huh- Oh.. Yeah, yeah! Why wouldn't I be?"

Tapping a finger on Stars nose playfully, suddenly switching from one mood to another.

"Heyya Starry.. How's bout ya play with Jas over here, an' I'm gonna make ya goobers somethin' fun, yeah? Yeah!"

Gently handing Star off to Jasper, the pink gem smiled widely, walking away swiftly.. Though it was barely visible, something seemed to slide down her face.

Sun perked up when Spinel left, finally realizing there was company and mumbling excited babbles under her breath while making her way over-- Moon was otherwise uninterested, watching Spinel leave with a small trembled frown.

-Jasper sits there on the floor, ruffling Star's hair gently, and reaching over to do the same to Sun. She looks off at Moon with concern, before her eyes flicker upwards to where Azure is standing. Their expression is indecipherable.-

"She doesn't look okay to me. Poor Moon. He must really be worried."

Azure had indeed come back out after placing Forests gem in a safe place, watching as Spinel walked past and almost reachingnout to stop her.. Then glancing at Jasper.

"..Yeah.. He's.. He's been worried.. We all have been.. I'm.. Gonna talk to her."

Without anymore input, Azure followed Spinel. Star watching the whole interaction before looking up into Jaspers eyes.

"..Jasper? Momma was crying.."

Sun tilted her head at the word before pouting. Moon made himself smaller by cuddling behind the larger stuffed animal he seemed to carry everywhere now.. Some kind of white duck with a blue navy outfit.

"Kyy? Wa ky?"

"Ahh, it's okay kiddos. Your momma is gonna be fine. She's just... um... a little sad right now, that's all."

-Jasper takes a shaky breath. She is really not the best at talking with children, but she sits with them, trying to act as a strong, firm and calming prescence.-

Star goes silent, blinking slowly.. Then latching onto Jasper with a small exhale.

"...I hope.."

"Aappp! Aah-!" Sun shouted, reaching for Jasper and trying to climb up her body with jelly limbs that barely seemed to function.. Moon didn't even look around, too focused and keeping a firm grasp on his plush.

Though Sun didn't leave him to that for long, acknowledging his absence and reaching her hand over-- To stretch in a less than accurate manner towards the male gem and try and drag him over by the arm.. This scared Moon so bad he almost let go of his comfort plush and instantly started crying and sniffeling as he was forcefully brought over to Jasper.

"Nnnnnuu.."

*she stands in front of azure and spinel's place, staring sadly at the door. she kinda knows that something really bad happened to her old, dear friend but the fear of annoying her partner has been so strong... for a long time too. but she still thinks that... she could be helpful?? even just a little bit?? her head hurts when she finally decides to knock at the door*

"don't act like a fool, don't act like a fool, don't act like a fool..."

No one responded for a solid minute before the door slowly creaked open, revealing a cyan spinel with a frown deeply etched on their face; wearing nothing but some shorts and a tank top.

"Who-? Oh.."

Azure furrowed their brows at the unexpected visitor, then raised one. "Uhm.. Wait.. You're Pinks old pearl, ain'tcha? ..That came out wrong, ugh.. Just.. What're ya doin' here?"

They finally managed, leaning against the doorframe and blocking the interior with a displeased face.. Mostly being annoyed by an unexpected visitor at this time.. Though this was also kind of just their resting face anyway.

Opening their mouth to add on, there was a sudden squeak behind them as a cheerfully NON emo spinel poked out beside their head, grinning. And Azure entirely forgot what they were going to say. She looked exactly like she had in the past at this moment, aside from her pie-sliced eyes being a spiraling hot pink..

"Ohhh! Hiii! Az, who's this??"

"Uhhh.. Someone ya know, I guess..?"

"..Hmmmm?"

Spinel tapped a finger to her face curiously, tilting her head and glancing over the pearl.. Only to shrug with a somewhat deflated smile. "I.. Don't remember much still, sorry!"

"It's.. Okay.. Uh wait, where's the--"

A loud crash followed by laughter rang from the house and Azure yelped, immediately rushing back inside.

"SUN! NO!"

Azure came stumbling back over with a squirming mass of delicate purple in their arms, and a lavender gemling clinging to her leg. They flinched when the one in their embrace started shrieking playfully.

"Sshh. Stars. Sunny.."

The larger gemling hugging their leg looked up at the pearl with wide starry eyes, immediately interested and bleping out her tongue.

"..Friend?"

Azure quickly spoke, then yelped again as the squirming gem in their arms broke free and tumbled onto the ground with a loud giggle, immediately latching onto the pearls arm with big happy eyes.

Spinel on the other hand, covered her mouth and giggled herself, getting on her knees to check on Sun and Pink Pearl.

"Don't mind her! She just likes meetin' new people!"

i know it's a bad time for you and spinel... i don't know if she ever mentioned me but we're really close friends, she belonged to pink too... so uhm... since i care about her and, well, consequentially you i was wondering if i could help you with... whatever you need?? i'm here for both of you guys, seriously...

"Uh.. Oh.. Huh-?"

They looked majorly confused by the compliment before squinting over the pearl with a raised brow, commenting awkwardly. "I've.. Never heard her say anythin' bout Pinks pearl before uh.. The Crystal Gem Pearl.."

Opening their mouth to add on, there was a sudden squeak behind them as a cheerfully NON emo spinel poked out beside their head, grinning. And Azure entirely forgot what they were going to say. She looked exactly like she had in the past at this moment, aside from her pie-sliced eyes being a spiraling hot pink..

"Ohhh! Hiii! Az, who's this??"

"Uhhh.. Someone ya know, I guess..?"

"..Hmmmm?"

Spinel tapped a finger to her face curiously, tilting her head and glancing over the pearl.. Only to shrug with a somewhat deflated smile. "I.. Don't remember much still, sorry!"

"It's.. Okay.. Uh wait, where's the--"

A loud crash followed by laughter rang from the house and Azure yelped, immediately rushing back inside.

"SUN! NO!"

-Jasper raps on the door of the Spinel family apartment. She is still heated from her previous encounter with Cache, but she takes in a shaky breath and rakes her fingers through her hair. When Azure opens the door, they are greeted with Dagr's unharmed gem in Jasper's hand.-

They immediately shoot up in alarm at the gem in the quartzes palm, reaching out quickly to snatch it from her.

"..Holy [squeak]... I.. How the.. Did you fight her??"

The questions tumbled out so fast they almost bit their tongue, pressing their sisters gem into their chest and holding it close with furrowed brows.

"..Will she.. Remember..? I.. Stars.. [Squeak].. Okay, get in here- I need ya tah tell me what happened.. An' Star will probably wanna see ya.... Forest.."

Mumbling the last word with a pained expression, Azure walked away from the door, leaving it wide open for Jasper to follow. The house was partly cleaned up now, surprisingly. Spinel was in the middle of folding something, though she still didn't look like herself; vibrant pink eyes had replaced her usual pie-slice. Star and the twins were in the middle of the living room area with a few toys.

"Oh! Hiyya!"

-Jasper awkwardly scratches the back of her head. Azure probably won't be pleased at her answer, mostly because of how risky it all was. In the spirit of honesty, she doesn't bother spinning it in a sugary way.-

"Look, Azure. I'm gonna be honest with you here... I did something... not that smart. Again. I... ahh... pretended to join Cache's side in order to try and save Dagr- err, Forest... and dispose of that pathetic peridot for good. I achieved one of those things at least."

-Her eyes are downcast. It's hard to meet anyone's gaze. She turns to a reset Spinel and manages a wobbly half-smile. The smile turns to an even wobblier grin when she sees the three gemlings, growing happily, though still having to bear those wretched collars.-

"Oh, uhh... h-Hey, Spinel. And how are my lil nieces and nephew doin'?"

Azure almost dropped Forest before deciding to sigh heavily and not bother about how FUCKING STUPID of an idea that was.

"..Look, I ain't in the mood to yell.. My emotions are fritzed enough.. Just.. Thank you.. For gettiin' her back.. I.."

They trailed off, not finishing their words as they entered the bedroom quietly. Spinel watched before giggling softly at Jasper,

"Ya know, Azzy told me bout ya! Actually, they told me a lot! I dunno exaaaaccctly who ya are anymore, but I know ya care."

She stated simply before Star shot up upon seeing Jasper, almost falling over the toy she had been playing with in the process.

"JASPER! J- AH-"

Star hunched over a bit as a visible shock lit up her form and she clenched her eyes in fear.. Slowly it died enough for her to shake it off with a shaky inhale.

"..Jasper..?"

"Hey don't worry... about... it...

-Jasper barely finishes her sentence before Azure walks away, and she turns to Spinel to try and avoid feeling too awkward. Unfortunately, introducing herself for a second time feels awkward enough already.-

"Um, I'm Jasper. Or Jas. Sometimes, Spi- ... you would call me that."

-The large quartz then turns to Star, readying herself to catch the little gemling in her arms. Instead, she watches Star fight off a shock from that blasted collar. There has to be a way to remove them without hurting the gem underneath.-

"Star!"

-Jasper kneels down beside the tiny gemling, rubbing her back gingerly, hoping to provide some level of comfort.-

Looking.. Genuinely worried despite her innocent demeanor, Spinel shuffled over to check on Star as well, gently looking over her with the prod of her fingers. Almost like a doting mother would. Maybe something in her sparked back from the occurrence.

"Are ya okay, small thing? That wasn't fun... Stars, I.."

Spinel furrowed her brows and something dark flashed over her face before she shook it off and carefully pulled Star into a hug.

Star sniffled a little, then nuzzled into Jaspers and Spinels touch with a pained expression she tried to hide with a hand.

"I-I'm okay.. H-hard to talk.."

"Shhh.. No talkin' then.. M.. Momma is sorry.."

-Jasper takes note of the look on Spinel's face, though it is fleeting.-

"Spinel, are you okay?"

"Huh- Oh.. Yeah, yeah! Why wouldn't I be?"

Tapping a finger on Stars nose playfully, suddenly switching from one mood to another.

"Heyya Starry.. How's bout ya play with Jas over here, an' I'm gonna make ya goobers somethin' fun, yeah? Yeah!"

Gently handing Star off to Jasper, the pink gem smiled widely, walking away swiftly.. Though it was barely visible, something seemed to slide down her face.

Sun perked up when Spinel left, finally realizing there was company and mumbling excited babbles under her breath while making her way over-- Moon was otherwise uninterested, watching Spinel leave with a small trembled frown.

-Jasper sits there on the floor, ruffling Star's hair gently, and reaching over to do the same to Sun. She looks off at Moon with concern, before her eyes flicker upwards to where Azure is standing. Their expression is indecipherable.-

"She doesn't look okay to me. Poor Moon. He must really be worried."

Azure had indeed come back out after placing Forests gem in a safe place, watching as Spinel walked past and almost reachingnout to stop her.. Then glancing at Jasper.

"..Yeah.. He's.. He's been worried.. We all have been.. I'm.. Gonna talk to her."

Without anymore input, Azure followed Spinel. Star watching the whole interaction before looking up into Jaspers eyes.

"..Jasper? Momma was crying.."

Sun tilted her head at the word before pouting. Moon made himself smaller by cuddling behind the larger stuffed animal he seemed to carry everywhere now.. Some kind of white duck with a blue navy outfit.

"Kyy? Wa ky?"

*she stands in front of azure and spinel's place, staring sadly at the door. she kinda knows that something really bad happened to her old, dear friend but the fear of annoying her partner has been so strong... for a long time too. but she still thinks that... she could be helpful?? even just a little bit?? her head hurts when she finally decides to knock at the door*

"don't act like a fool, don't act like a fool, don't act like a fool..."

No one responded for a solid minute before the door slowly creaked open, revealing a cyan spinel with a frown deeply etched on their face; wearing nothing but some shorts and a tank top.

"Who-? Oh.."

Azure furrowed their brows at the unexpected visitor, then raised one. "Uhm.. Wait.. You're Pinks old pearl, ain'tcha? ..That came out wrong, ugh.. Just.. What're ya doin' here?"

They finally managed, leaning against the doorframe and blocking the interior with a displeased face.. Mostly being annoyed by an unexpected visitor at this time.. Though this was also kind of just their resting face anyway.
