Boys Suck (Kinda Long sorry😔)
Have you ever had one of those guys who seems perfect in the beginning. Then little stuff starts to bother you. At first you ignore it because it's small, you guys just started talking, you haven't even been on a date yet. That's where I'm at. I met this really cute guy, he seemed great. He was respectful, and sweet. The problems started with the messaging. I'd always message him first. And when I told him he doesn't have to wait for me to message him he just said, I don't text anybody first. Now that should have been red flag number one, but truly and honestly it didn't bother me at first. Then came the nonchalantness. When I said something about that too he said I'm just dry. Which was weird considering he wasn't like that in person. But I ignored that too because still, it was so new, maybe it'd change. Things really started to go sideways the weekend before my birthday, which was on a Tuesday so I celebrated with my friends that weekend. We saw each other at a party and danced together for a while. When he wanted to go to the center of things where it was more crowded I decided to stay where I was while he went with his friends to the center. It was then that one of my friends told me they'd seen him talking to other girls. Night immediately ruined. I asked him about it and he said that it wasn't like that, that he was just dancing and it could've seemed that way. I brushed it off again, trying to protect my heart, as we'd set a boundary that we weren't going to talk to other people while we figured out whatever it was.
The next day another friend said they'd seen him talking to another girl too and I broke down. A few months before this I was in the same exact position where I was being lied to and my friends were telling me things while the guy said it wasn't like that. I didn't want to end u hurt. Anyways I got busy and didn't have time to text him, and since he didn't text first I didn't hear from him again. Being weak, ten days later I decided to look him up on Instagram, just to see if anything had changed, and the account was gone. I thought he'd blocked me. In my blind rage I'd sent a "fuck you". ....
I was not blocked. And that spurred another conversation, and kind of argument. Where he claimed he thought I didn't want to talk to him which is why he didn't say anything and me saying if he wanted to talk to me he would. We chalked it up to miscommunication. I was texting first... again. Eventually I got busy again, and I felt like I just wasn't getting enough. I told him that and he said if the relationship was causing me to overthink then maybe we should just be friends. I asked him if that's what he wanted he said he was fine either way if it's better for me. We texted a little bit after that but he hasn't said anything since. I'm wavering in my strength again though and I need to stay strong. Was he in the wrong or am I just paranoid and everything was fine the whole time? Help!
