Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong.

Getting ready for work

"I'm gonna miss you."

"We've still got time. I'd rather sit and talk to you."

I try, so hard, to believe that these are not just empty words.

I want to trust you. I want to believe every word.

Waking up in the middle of the night,

in that split second, I forget where I am.

I turn to the left side of the bed and see you

breathing,

snoring, sometimes,

and in that moment everything just falls into place.

You are peace, you are safety,

you are my home.

"This sounds almost silly," you said

"but being with you feels like home."

Little did you know

that I have felt the same all this time.

I never want to forget the day

when you told me

that you saw a glimpse of the future

and I was in it.
