Recap: November 23rd-December 7th
Sorry I've been so bad about updating, guys! It's really hard for me to stick to a daily regiment. :(
As far as that goes, I've so far had only one day where I forgot to take my morning pill. I don't remember when that was but I had to just skip it. Two other times I've taken it REALLY late in the day, but I think it was okay.
Really, nothing has changed. The fissure in the corner of my mouth took FOREVER to heal up but finally did, only to switch to the other side a few days later (it seems nearly healed now, after only a few days). So annoying. My lips peal constantly. And crack. The dry skin around my mouth and on my cheeks is under control more, mostly because when it starts to get bad I moisturize it.
I've nearly consumed and entire tube of chapstick. I wasn't sure it was possible, but it's happened. Everyone keeps telling me to get vasoline instead but my mother thinks it's really bad to put petroleum-based products on your face. I dunno though. I need to make a decision soon because I've only got MAYBE 2 days left on my current tube (I lost my second one somehow).
I went to New York last weekend and it was AMAZING. It was colder there and I could certainly feel it. But the worst part was that I had all of my jackets and nice clothes dry cleaned before I left... and I appear to be allergic to the dry cleaning chemicals. Now, I've gotten my stuff dry cleaned before and its been fine, but I think with the extra sensitivity of the Accutane... it was bad. I was completely broken out in hives down my arms and on my hands (I wore a jacket basically 24/7 because of the cold). Luckily I could use my scarves to cover up my neck from the jacket collar and that finally healed (although it was REALLY bad the first day). It's pretty much all healed up now but man, it was awful.
Since I've been back from New York, I've been having trouble with my anxiety, and yesterday I got hit by some crazy depression/anxiety issues. I'm not convinced that it's a result of the Accutane since it's taken this long (I'm 2/3rds done with the second month) but I'm being wary. I'm better today but it's not gone yet.
I suppose that's really it. Allergies suck. Nothing much new to report other than hives and depression.
Oh, and bloody noses. Bloody noses galore. The inside of my nose is basically a giant scab. Ugh. It's just 'till March.
