Stupid silly rant

Have you guys like ever enjoyed something, love the lore, the story, and just everything about it, but just can't consume it's media? (If thats the word I'm looking for idk💔) I LOVE lord of the flies, I got the book, I'm trying to get the graphic novel, and I love ANY art (besides the weird art... iykyk,) but I can't sit down and just watch the show FOR THE LIFE OF ME. No hate on the show, I loved the first episode, it was definitely different from anything I seen, and I LOVE the cinematography and aesthetic, BUT I JUST CAN'T WATCH IT... maybe it's because I promised my moms boyfriend we'd watch it after we finish goodomens, or maybe it's bc I haven't finished the book, YET. IM ALMOST THERE THO. I'll watch it one day (^.^)

Random vent, also bc I woke up doom scrolling on tiktok and now I'M MAD.

I've decided that I might just fully move all my art on Tumblr bc of art drama thats constantly going on in tiktok, and it's just gotten so annoying. It also feels like you can't post any art without get the people from frown town hating on every drawing you do just bc they don't like the style. And this is coming from artists and non-artists. Tiktok has genuinely became the app of doom and despair, and Instagram 2.0. I also hate the agreements people stir up saying "unique art style ≠ good drawing," ofc unique art styles doesn't make the art automatically good, but that person has gotten like 100 people to put a witches curse on their family and hoping their dog dies, and telling them to end it 💔 if the art style genuinely makes you THAT MAD just block them at this point, it's NOT that hard🥹

Also a quick message, anytime I post art I might rant a LOT, I usually have a lot on my mind and love talking, but sadly have no one to talk to, so here's me rambling about my art.

For people who don't know who this is, this is Ignacio de la torre from a movie I loved sm (and is also a real person.) The movie was called dance of the 41, and if anyone is curious in watching it, its on Netflix! If you're under the age of like 17 I would NOT recommend watching it bc of how freaky it is 💔🥹 I'm not as obsessed with it as I used to but I would be lying if I said it didn't have a big impact on me (and still does.)

The movie is about a real person, and real LGBTQ+ history, that I honestly thinks more recognition. The movie is based off an illegal police raid carried on 17 November 1901 against a private home in Calle de la Paz, where there was a dance of 41 men, half dressed in drag. There was also a rumor that went around that it was actually 42 men, that extra guy people suspected being Ignacio de la torre who was currently the son-in-law of the president at the time (Porfirio Díaz.) The movie is just basically about that rumor, so if you do watch the movie, which is about real history, it may not be fully true because it's about rumors, theories that may or may not be true and hypotheticals.

I know I did say I want it to have more recognition, the actual historical event did have it's impacts, the event becoming a massive national scandal and a foundational moment for Mexican LGBTQ+ history, where im from, sadly not a lot of people know about this history. Though the movie may or may not be truly right, it has gotten me into the really history, gay history, history in general, and has made a big impact on me make my ocs. If you're wonder how it's effected my ocs I love making ocs in the 50s-70s, and because of that movie getting me big into history, I've made it a goal to make my ocs as historically accurate AS possible and I still do. Anyways this is the end of my rant, SO SO SORRY IT'S LONG, I JUST WANT PPL TO KNOW ABOUT THIS COOL MOVIE (and real history) AND TO MAYBE WATCH IT, if you're of the age. Warnings/small spoilers if you want to watch the movie, It is REALLY freaky, so if you're not a fan of nudity and stuff you don't have to watch is, or if you're not a fan of sad endings please don't watch... there is no good ending and I still cry thinking of it.

Also btw I recommend you do your own research, it is my biggest fear that I get real history wrong and ofc there may be some things I've forgotten or gotten wrong. SO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH... if you want to❤️

Ik I already kind of posted something today, I just want to post this before THESE kinds of people do find me and also its been stuck in my head for weeks.

Just because I find interests in the human centipede and Tusk doesn't mean you can be weird towards me, and also other ppl that enjoy the movies. I'm thankful that ppl like that haven't found my Tumblr (and really my tiktok) but I have seen LOTS of ppl that have been harassed for what they like. This also means don't ask me, and other ppl REALLY WEIRD questions. Again I'm thankful I have gotten those questions, but the things I see on tiktok about the questions they get are CRAZY (Idk if I'm allowed to mention the questions some ppl bc I dont really know what is or isn't allowed on Tumblr, but if yk, yk) I also do like other movies/shows besides those movie. Also just bc theres a few bad apples in the fandom doesn't mean ALL of us are like that, theres usually always a bad side to fandoms... doesn't mean I'm a part of it.

Again this is a long rant, and I usually dont want to talk about anything TOO serious, but its just a stupid rant I want to get out, also bc I feel like some ppl can relate, and to also let some ppl know that being weird to me IS NOT ALLOWED.

I fished the drawing. Im still getting used to grey scale art, and I honestly dont really like the colour, but the only thing I do like about it is that it oddly reminds me of the old Peter rabbit water colour art.

Honestly if it wasn't for Piggy I probably wouldn't have gotten into LOTF, Piggy in the graphic novel is exactly how I picture young Martin lomax. Its so cute.
