a quirky and uplifting ushiten! fic by kythen. i got so into it i decided i needed to do something about it. here’s a thing! watercolor on paper with some digital tweaking. i realised the scanner did the ugly yellow thing and i couldnt be bothered to learn how to fix that. so this. One time at an aquarium we could pet the stingrays but u basically had to stick ur hand in the water and wait for them to come a bunch of people didn't get to pet them but one brushed against my hand

We did a puppet show for some kids and a cute little girl wanted to give us a flower and she gave it to me

You know that feeling you get when you’re suddenly conscious that people aren’t really listening to you? (not heinously, or because they don’t value you– they may just not understand what you’re talking about or have something else on their mind, etc.) It hurts, sometimes. That’s why it’s so important to have a friend that recognizes that you’re talking about something you’re passionate about, and makes the effort to listen to you. Like, Zuko may not know what ‘versatile’ or ‘cavitation’ mean, but he knows that this is Sokka’s thing, and watching someone talk about what they’re best at is a very special kind of gift. (id under the cut)

First part was based off a screenshot I got from Ethan’s (Crankgameplays) tattoo video, it made me laugh, and then I had to make it Zukka of course, and the cherry on top is Young Adult!Zukka :D

Au where the water tribes can turn into selkies, and they don’t have to be a bender to do so. It’s also a closely guarded secret from the other kingdoms.

One day, whilst fishing for the village, Sokka gets caught in the net of a fire nation ship. Unsurprisingly, they take him prisoner. Surprisingly, the scarred boy on the ship wants to let him go. It’s only when his uncle insists he wants to study Sokka that Zuko relents on the promise no harm comes to him, ( because let’s face it, Zukos a softie when it comes to animals and Sokka is half seal enough for his conscience to be heard).  Sokka stays because if he just got out his tub and walked to the sea the firebenders would realise his tribes secret, so he has to somehow find a way to crawl, or guilt the prince enough, to let him go. 

Then one day this air bender kid is brought to Zuko’s room. Little does Sokka know he’s the avatar and his sister is up top helping him escape. While Katara goes off with the Avatar, Sokka is with Zuko chasing the Avatar and an ‘annoying girl’ and comes to actually care for the weird prince.

It’s not really a captured tale since Sokka is sort of there voluntarily, he could just walk out at any time.
