As I fell down the BL rabbit hole, I decided to do a rec list of the the shows I watched and enjoyed, so people who are newbies can find good shows. So here we go! It’s not finished at all - as I watch more shows, I’ll add them!

Love by Chance (2018)  ☆☆☆☆ 

Summary: Pete is a handsome and rich university student that is incredibly timid. His shyness is caused by the fact that he tries to hide that he is secretly gay. By chance, Pete gets hit by a kindhearted boy on a bike. The boy, named Ae, apologizes and helps him up. Whenever Pete trusts someone they use him for his wealth. While he was getting abused for money, Ae saves him. Over time, Ae protects Pete from the world; he takes care of him. But somewhere between the intense closeness and soft touches, Ae begins to feel more than how a friend would. Yet, Pete doesn’t want Ae to know the pain of being ridiculed for dating a man. Thus, he ignores his feelings for Ae. But Pete falls deeper and deeper in love with the kindhearted boy on the bike who once hit him, by chance. 

Comment: This show became one of my favorite TV shows of all time ♥ It’s amazing and heartfelt and managed to really create a very touching romance between Ae/Pete ♥ Although, I have to confess that the dynamic I am excited the most about is the other main couple Tin/Can.

Sotus: The Series (2016) ☆☆☆☆

Summary: The “Gear” is one of the engineering mechanical devices in the cogwheel system (as in a clock). Having one signifies that one is a student of the Faculty of Engineering. However, to get one, all engineering freshmen must first undergo the SOTUS (acronym for Seniority, Order, Tradition, Unity, and Spirit) system. Arthit, one of the third year seniors, often abuses his power over the freshmen by making them do things against the rules. Freshmen students are practically powerless to complain or resist any orders given by their seniors. Arthit was seemingly unstoppable, until Kongpob stood up against the abuses by the former. Continual encounters between the two developed from animosity to something much more affectionate. 

Comment: I really loved everything about this series: from characters to the plot to the main romance. I think they got everything right during the season. It’ll remain perfect if you stay away from The Sotus S - which was huge disappointment to me. But honestly, the first season and the end you get is just perfect and you don’t need of anything else ♥

HIStory2: Crossing The Line (2018) ☆☆☆☆

Summary: Qiu Zi Xuan was an excellent volleyball player in the past, but he had to give up on on his dreams due to his injuries, but he still participates in the volleyball-related training, arranges and helps them to get into training, watching them improve. During the training, he meets a guy, Xia Yu Hao, a guy with a really bad temper who gets easily infuriated with people that make him angry, but he strives to acquire what he persistently wants to achieve. Zi Xuan thinks he’s the one who can reach his dream instead of him. He hopes that Yu Hao can achieve what he couldn’t in the past. 

Wang Zhen Wu is Wang Zhen Wen’s older stepbrother, Zhen Wen likes him, but Zhen Wu can’t show his feelings to his younger brother because of them being stepbrothers.

Comment: I loved both stories, although the second one really made me want more and they didn’t deliver - but it’s still great and everyone should watch it!

HIStory2: Right or Wrong (2018) ☆☆☆☆

Summary: Shi Yi Jie is an associate professor of The Department of Anthropology and he is a divorced single man. He has a 8-year-old daughter called Yo Yo. He single-handedly raises his daughter.

After encountering Fei Sheng Zhe by accident, the three of them have sparked some fire.

Comment: This is probably my favorite series after Love by Chance. I wasn’t expecting to be so into this story, especially because of the teacher/student dynamic. But honestly, the way they handled it was really great and it didn’t come off as creepy or weird. It was very heartfelt and nice and soft. I adore this so much ♥ And the end was perfect!
