being short really sucks sometimes
sam winchester ( ˘ ³˘)♥ in hollywood babylon, supernatural 2.18
sam deserves to be large peaceful, vaguely judgemental waterfowl
being away from family isn't that hard i get to call and talk to them all the time. being away from my pets for long time is so hard i cant.
once again this is mostly abt dean projecting his own stuff but i still don’t care bc every single time he’s an asshole abt it !
rare aesthetic: sam's kindness biting him in the ass (within seconds) (by the same person he was being kind to)
ninja nerd and dr najeeb are lifesavers tbh
sam a little tipsy and alltogether way too pliant as Jess, a few beers in herself, tilts his face up as he kneels between her legs so she can put eyeliner on him and sam's more drunk off the touch than the alcohol and he's just looking up at her with big doe eyes and she teases him for being raised in a barn, dontcha know its not polite to stare at a lady like that but he keeps staring as she dolls him up, the makeup is caky and uneven and the lipstick is the wrong colour and this is the first time sam. truly, honestly believes he's gotten out
Supernatural S12E19 The Future
SUPERNATURAL 1.12 FAITH
wincesties continue to have some of thee Most disingenuous framings of sam's characteristics within their interpretations of the winchester familial dynamic that automatically discredits whatever they're trying to convey within their dean & john interpretations to me. like i'm pretty sure this post is attempting to critique interpretations of sam and dean's masculine roles proxy each other within the familial dynamic that which the typical sam fan would interpret it wrt the heteronormativity of supernatural a show, but 'man who takes the '''domestic labour''' of the older sibling for granted', ' '''gets to''' escape home to become his own person and attempt a cisnormative life', 'dominant partner script in sexual encounters', 'inherits dark force', 'inherits fundamental character traits from father' to describe sam is genuinely a next level instance of the disingenuous flattening and omission about the actual in-canon portrayal of sam's respective relationships with those things i genuinely don't even know what to say. not to mention talking about dean as being someone 'constantly mocked for perceived weakness by strangers and by [sam]' is so canonically inconsistent i'm in awe. there's also another section of the post that describes dean as encountering sexually compromising circumstances often; where's that thing i'm always saying about how they Love to give dean sam's interpersonal conflicts and frame sam's instances of victimhood as perpetrations.
the first episode includes sam being sexually compromised and him spending 70% of the time he's with dean + the rest of the season talking about how much their childhood mutually sucked. 1.18 literally includes sam acknowledging that the responsibility dean had wasn't fair. 2.03 sam vs dean's relationship with gordon? the framing sam's pursuing education and the relationship he developed while doing so as 'cisnormative life' as if hunting is something on the contrary says everything i need to know about one's perception of the righteousness of hunting and the way its utilised within your interpretation of supernatural; this particularly gets me because there is a lot to critique about sam's ideals of normalcy but it works conjunction with one's critique of hunting. same goes for describing what azazel did to sam as an 'inheritance'—because it IS, it's a damn good descriptor of their relationship in conjunction with mary and azazel's + mary amd samuel's and of how hunting literally and/or metaphorically represents the abusive atmosphere of The Familial Dynamic and the csa metaphor between mary and sam, but this is the most sucky framing i've ever encountered. so close but yet so far
Mary Winchester & Sam Winchester in Supernatural 1x09, Home
Jack. Listen. Asmodeus tricking you, Dean... None of that is your fault. I think that, uh- after everything that's happened you're- you're probably scared to use your power.
