DONT TAG YOUR FLASHING GIFS WITH EPILEPSY

This is so absurd that people would even do this in the first place. Oh you have epilepsy? You must never look at the epilepsy tag! So I’ll tag my strobe gif with epilepsy so that people with epilepsy can see all the triggers at once!!!!

Wow fuck no. I’m so fucking tired of people doing this. I’ve had people fight with me that they’re tagging correctly. If you don’t have epilepsy and you’re reading this, fucking listen to me and don’t tag any of your apparent “trigger” GIFS. Tag seizure warning or flashing warning. Epilepsy does not directly correlate to seizures, and seizures do not directly correlate with epilepsy. NEVER TAG EPILEPSY. EVER. EVER. Do your research first. Don’t try to help people if you don’t actually know what’s going on. If anything, this has harmed much more photosensitive people than if they weren’t tagged in the first place.

I am assuming that other people have more pain after seizures, but I’m curious if I’m correct. After my most recent one, where I ended up slumped on the couch, I’ve been having worse back pain and pain in different areas of my back. The seizure before that, I was caught by a fellow student, and I only had shoulder joint pain.

Do other epileptics end up with pain due to seizures? I have tonic clonic (and possibly another kind of seizure gotta be a medical mystery), but I’m happy to hear from those with any type of seizure, and if anyone has any advice for pain relief.

TC’s can be pretty violent, and if you were on or near objects upon which your body could contort itself during the process, it would stand to reason that you’d wind up with a lot of pain as a result. To treat back pain, I use Advil, heating pads, couch time, and a lot of bitching to anyone who will listen.
