quite honestly I think the issue with modern transfeminism is white people. And in some manners yes wwii plane diagram but also white people are trained that their experiences are the prototypical experience from birth. Their gender is the gender everyone has or aspires to have. Their culture is everyone’s culture. Their experiences are Everyone’s experiences or else if not then that person is Scary Other and probably some sort of Unperson. And then these white people take that mindset into feminism and transfeminism and if someone is doing gender Differently from either them or their mindset view of whatever amount of nice gender boxes they have then they’re Wrong and maybe a Scary Yucky Other. There is no meaningful feminism without antiracist action.

you are so so so fucking right and Emi Koyama literally made this connection decades ago. she literally directly connected her own neglect of trans men and nonbinary/genderqueer people in the Transfeminist Manifesto to the Manifesto's lack of intersectional awareness & made this profoundly insightful self-critique:

But there was something unsettling about the “Manifesto.” In an effort to forge an alliance between transsexual and non-transsexual women, the piece neglected the struggles of transsexual men and other transgender or genderqueer people who do not identify as “women” unless it was convenient to include them. The piece was also weak on intersectional analysis–that is, how anti-trans sentiments and oppressions compound and complicate oppressions other than sexism, including and especially racism and classism. It borrowed from the work of women of color when it was useful–for example, to point out that transsexual women’s unique experiences should not be the basis for their exclusion because to do so would presuppose a singular universal female experience, which is obviously false–without contributing any insights as to how the inclusion of trans sensibility helps to fight racism and other oppressions. In short, what I had written was a version of white feminism that was modified just enough to include transsexual women. At the time, I felt that it was the only safe way to write a feminist theory that advanced transsexual women’s place within feminism. I spent next couple of years meeting more people with a common commitment for justice for all, slowly building the self-confidence it takes to “transform silence into language and action,” as Audre famously stated.

so yeah no modern transfeminism is literally just white feminism modified just enough to include (white etc.) transsexual woman. the author of the Transfeminist Manifesto herself pointed this out when reflecting on her own decisions when writing the Manifesto, which even in spite of this was more inclusive of trans men and nb/gq people than many people who identify as transfeminists today.

I expected my cpap machine to make a dramatic difference right away but after waking up from my first night on the machine I think the experience can be described as I woke up and thought “well I don’t think I feel dramatically different but it also definitely feels like something in there has been unclogged”

According to my app which no is not called cpapp unfortunately I only stopped breathing 1.7 times per hour. Which might sound weird but during my sleep apnea test I stopped breathing 23.5 times per hour so as you can imagine breathing is generally better than not breathing

I’m not talking about my health just to overshare btw. I think there’s probably other young people out there with sleep apnea who might need to hear someone in their 20s discussing this.

Don’t feel ashamed to get tested if you’re tired all the time or someone has told you that you gasp for air in your sleep. Get your shower drain unclogged.

I'm 35 and I got tested for sleep apnea in the fall and I was having OVER 50 EVENTS PER HOUR.

Got my cpap and holy shit the difference. I am actually rested when I go to bed at a reasonable time. I no longer need daily 2-4 hour naps just to function.

And I also suspect that it might be helping me not get as many colds, because that nightly airflow clears things out.

I'm really glad I have my cpap now and everything is better, but also wish I had got tested earlier, because maybe if I'd caught this sooner I wouldn't have developed some of the other health issues I deal with. But I thought I was so tired all the time because I'm a parent and autistic.

So yeah, even if you think you know why you're always tired, get tested just in case.

Declared that they are wholly dedicated to (A) leveraging A.I. when making games and (B) creating live-service games above all other game types

Announced that if you bought any movies through their PlayStation Store, over 550 of them will soon be deleted from all users' libraries — with no restitution offered of any kind

Gamers, it is time — to paraphrase Robert Vann — to turn Sony's picture to the wall. Any one of these insults would be bad, and taken alone? Maybe it could be swallowed. But this is an ongoing campaign of disdain towards customers, with each declaration worse than the last.

PlayStation does not deserve your patronage any longer. The PS6 must fail. Leave them behind.
