The Moon Presence by Ryan T. Hancock
lately I've been enjoying the musical genre of effeminate japanese men making questionable sounds over heavy drum beats and guitar riffs that go unnecessarily hard
said genre is also known as vkei
Reminder for punks or anyone wanting to be punk:
Punk isn't all about enamel pins, leather, and spikes
There's a lot of softer areas of punk that don't have to do with the way you dress
Supporting public libraries, independent gardening, shopping small, donating to charities, making your own stuff, (stealing from big businesses), and basically any form of environmentalism are all very punk things
I myself don't dress punk, but I listen to the music and have the same ideologies. I am just as punk as the people kicking cops and shaving their heads.
Punk fashion is grungy, punk ideology is kind. Remember this.
“As a culture we are obsessed with the notion of safety. Yet we do not question why we live in states of extreme anxiety and dread. Fear is the primary force upholding structures of domination. It promotes the desire for separation, the desire not to be known. When we are taught that safety lies always with sameness, then difference, of any kind, will appear as a threat. When we choose to love we choose to move against fear—against alienation and separation. The choice to love is a choice to connect—to find ourselves in the other.”
-bell hooks, All About Love: New Visions (2001)
Quotes I've saved for some reason #17
Lifestyle feminism ushered in the notion that there could be as many versions of feminism as there were women. Suddenly the politics was being slowly removed from feminism. And the assumption prevailed that no matter what a woman’s politics, be she conservative or liberal, she too could fit feminism into her existing lifestyle. Obviously this way of thinking has made feminism more acceptable because its underlying assumption is that women can be feminists without fundamentally challenging and changing themselves or the culture.

spring horror is good because of the symbolism of death and rebirth and storms and everything being vibrant but still cold. and summer horror is good because sweltering heat and insects and long days. and fall horror is good because halloween and death and scary movies. and winter horror is good because snow contrasting with blood and freezing temperatures and long nights. btw.
"Tumblr is my bedroom" this "tumblr is a pinboard" that
Tumblr is an apartment complex with thin walls and every so often you just have to listen to your neighbors say the most deranged shit imaginable
One small step for moss piglet, one giant leap for microoranisms.
Take a break, this cute tardigrade needs time to cross your dash:
