But most importantliest, Black women do not wear Caucasian hair. Unless you are Malaysian or Indian, don’t ever come out your neck about a Black woman’s weave (and even if you are, pause first and make sure you have your argument all the way together and validated before you get clapped on). Nobody is ordering Norwegian Virgin Remy for their sew-in because even white people don’t like white people hair. When they get extensions, it comes from Asia too. Why? Because white girl hair ain’t nothing to write home about! It won’t take shape without 8,000 products, won’t hold curl without a prayer and an Act of Congress, and the strands are spiderweb thin. Whenever I see a white person with gorgeous, thick, shiny, luscious, frizz-free hair, my first thought is “hm, I wonder what they mixed with?”

Now, if ol’ TJ was trying to make the argument that Beyonce is wearing hair that makes her look more like a white woman, he should have said so, because then we could have the conversation about how she wouldn’t be the biggest popstar on the planet if she didn’t cater to European standards of beauty, how her visibility as a Black woman being the most visible celebrity in the industry is well worth a few blonde lacefronts, how it’s the sheer scope of her audience built by years of making white folks’ comfortable that has given her this enormous platform to be pro-Black and jumpstart conversations that bring your white friends out of their racist closets

Don’t touch Solange’s hair, but don’t talk about Beyonce’s either on some thimble-deep surfacey analysis of beauty expectations.

PLEASE HELP ME SIGNAL BOOST THIS. This happened at MY UNIVERSITY TONIGHT. The school and campus I attend every day. Someone/people have hung what are obviously meant to appear as nooses from trees on campus next to a hall. There has YET to be word from any administration or the local/state police. But whenever there’s a robbery, they send out emails and text alerts within an hour of the incident. This time there hasn’t even been a WARNING or a public announcement about this. This is obviously a hateful and racist act. I just can’t believe my university hasn’t felt the need to inform ANYONE of the investigation that is going on. This happened well over an hour ago.

Just a Reminder that Donald Trump is and always has been an abuser. A third woman has now accused Mr. Trump of rape.

A woman filed a lawsuit claiming that when she was thirteen years old she was held as a sex slave to Mr. Trump and his friend Jeffrey Epstein. The woman claimed to have a witness, “Tiffany Doe,” to the incidents. Mr. Epstein is a notorious “billionaire pedophile” who is now a Level 3 registered sex offender - the most dangerous kind, “a threat to public safety” — after being convicted of misconduct with another underage girl.

Mr. Trump has a long history of debasing women he’s worked with, crossing the line on a regular basis. He’s taken lifelong joy in objectifying women, including his proclamation: “Women, you have to treat ‘em like shit.”

He’s also been accused of worse than just misogynist language. Two prior women have accused Mr. Trump, in court documents, of actual or attempted sexual assault. (Mr. Trump denies all the allegations.) In fact, Under oath, Ivana Trump accused Mr. Trump of a violent rape. First was Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s first wife, who said under oath in a 1989 deposition that he had violently attacked her, ripped out her hair and forcibly penetrated her without her consent.

it’s always so funny learning about the Great Depression in grade school cuz they don’t ever talk about how latinx and Hispanic people were lowkey deported to Mexico even if they weren’t Mexican and how the depression was literally twice as worse for black people who were the first fired and last hired. like educators always report these tragedies by how they impacted whites UNLESS you are in a class like AA studies or something.
