Thank you so much! I actually only just made this blog a short while ago. My “main” blog ( @kazuhiradarling ) is the one I have been using for most of my art. I decided to make this blog so I could dedicate it solely to Dragon Age, hahaha!

In 9:38 Dragon, Sebastian returned to Starkhaven. Ultimately deciding that the wellbeing of Starkhaven should be his priority, he left the Chantry and reclaimed his position as Prince of Starkhaven. In 9:40 he took Renna Hawke to be his wife, and they quickly won the hearts of the people of Starkhaven.

Aedalyn was not impressed with Alistair’s early attempts at flirting.

Can we all please stop for a moment and discuss the fact that in “The Art of Dragon Age: INQUISITION”, in chapter three, In Hushed Whispers, we have a panel that shows King Alistair fighting alongside Dorian and the Inquisitor?

This image is so terribly important because instead of the 2 minute cutscene where Alistair shows up ‘at the end of the party’, the writers had a different plot in mind at one point. I understand why they felt the need to cut that but story-wise, this is exactly where Alistair should have been. As king of Ferelden he would have been among the first to take action after hearing of what was going down in Redcliffe. I think that he allowed the Inquisition to station in Ferelden in good faith, but (and if you have followed the development of the character as king, including the 3 comic-books dedicated to him, you would agree) he is mature, capable and truly concerned about his people. He would step in right away if the Inquisition (or the enemies of the Inquisition) would threaten that balance.  

We see Warden Alistair right in the middle of the ‘solution’, and yet the game says so little about King Alistair. If anything, on more than one occasion this king is asking the Inquisition for some sort of help. But what about the help he offers to the Inquisition? The Breach is right on top of Ferelden. There is no way he would not show support knowing that the Inquisitor is the one capable of stopping this madness. It’s nice that we got to see Orlais and have its army’s help, but for me it was a bit forced considering that the ones first threatened by the Breach were the people of Ferelden. It’s sad and disappointing (and also out of character for Alistair) that the game doesn’t explore this side of the events. 

It would have made sense and it would have been epic!
