Anna "Annie" Salvatore was born on November 14th, 2005 in the small town of Mystic Falls. Her biological parents, whose names were not printed on the birth certificate, gave her up for adoption only two days after bringing her home from the hospital. Anna was born into an extremely poor family, and at the time, the couple who was supposed to raise her did not have the proper finances to provide her with the life she needed and deserved. So they gave her to a trustworthy adoption agency, and two weeks later the little baby girl was brought home by a new family and raised as if she was their actual daughter.
Her adopted parents, Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert, had just recently been married a few months before the adoption, and were anxiously hoping to start a family of their own. However, being vampires, the two were unable to procreate and create a biological child, so they seeked to adopt one to make their family complete. And that's when they found Anna. Three hours after signing the papers, Damon and Elena brought their new baby back to the boarding house and ever since have raised her in the best way they could.
Though she is not related to them, Anna has her father's exact color eyes. They're a crystal blue, and have stayed the same vibrant shade ever since she was born. Her blonde hair reaches shoulder length, though she often has it held up in a high ponytail, and her skin is fair. Being a Salvatore, Anna is courageous and tough for a kid, though she's also very innocent and naive. Her one true weakness? Family. If anyone were to hurt her family, she would be broken.
