Beyond the Darkened Hall is a 15+ online witch and pagan community for those who enjoy sharing about their practice! It is run by myself and my system!
I have several spirit guides I am close with and have been well, guides to me in the past few years. Most of them seem humanoid in nature, others are more odd. They are very dear to me and I find each and every one of them important in a different way. I commune with them at different times for different reasons and sometimes just when I need to talk to them.
So, here we go with my amazing and lovely spirit guides!
Jimmy - I've already talked a little bit about Jimmy, so lets go a little deeper into it. He is Humanoid in nature, and appears to me in my dreams and meditations as a taller, blonde man with an incredibly blue and green aura surrounding him. He is kind but firm, he talks to me like I'm a little sibling to him. He is the one who happens to come to me or who I find myself talking to when I need some guidance surrounding life changes so, when I'm stressed about my studies, or thinking about continuing on through my college life.
Vivienne - Vivienne is, what I believe to be, a spirit of a friend or lover in a past life. She is understanding and I only really see her in my deepest meditations. I always find her in the center of my mind , under the big magnolia tree with some of the other guides and spirits I am connected to. I go to her when or find her calling to me in times of stress and anger, she has a very soothing presence. She always appears as a woman in her late 20s, wearing 1960s dress. She is very gentle and affirming, but also isn't afraid to tell us to grow up.
Ranger - This guide is an interesting one, as it seems he switches between a Great Dane and a very androgynous looking person, with a masculine presence. Ranger is an aggressive presence, yet very helpful in matters of confidence and self-esteem. His canine form is always found sitting beneath the magnolia tree, same as the rest of them. I find him to be the least found among them. Ranger is very appreciated and is never afraid to tell me off but will also comfort me in his own way.
Unnamed spirit guides - There are 2 unnamed spirit guides, maybe because I have to work on my relationship with them, maybe because it simply isn't my time to discover them completely or maybe even I was never meant to know them truly. They appear as little creatures with proportionally long limbs and no faces, their bodies all white. They are helpful as they appear in dreams that hold some sort of message I need to understand (so, somewhat prophetic dreams).

This post is just for fun and to detail my spirituality in a little bit more depth. I know I usually only talk about Hellenic Polytheism but I am and my spirituality is, so much more than that.
Lady Aphrodite (of course): She is my beloved and the center of my practice. I am in a relationship with her, queerplatonic in nature to be precise. There is so much to it, if you want to here more about my relationship with her, you can let me know somewhere.
Lord Dionysos: My spiritual relationship with him is very heavily intertwined with my relationship with Lady Aphrodite, hence why I am a priestess/priestess in training for both of them. To me, he is a very close and dear entity. I truly don't think there is a word for our relationship and that's fine by me.
Archangel Gabriel: While I am still getting used to him and building a relationship with him, Archangel Gabriel is an entity that I feel has followed me everywhere I have ever gone. He has always been in my life, whether I realized it or not and I look forward to building a deeper relationship with him.
Jimmy: Jimmy is one of the few named spirit guides I have identified, he is a being that I have been in touch with since I was around 12 when I had numerous dreams about him and then communed with him via multiple divination techniques. Once again, there is a lot to him so if you want a deeper dive, let me know somehow.
Forest Spirits: There are several unnamed forest spirits that I have formed a relationship with. There are 4 as far as I know, all taking the form of different animals. There is a stag, a pair of crows and a hawk, which show themselves to me at different times depending on what I'm feeling in the moment.
Whenever I start thinking badly of myself, i remember the blessing I was given the day before my dedication to Lady Aphrodite from someone who I used to know. We were never close but it meant the world to me and still does.

The cards pulled were the 3 of Pentacles (reversed), Father of Swords and Mother of cups.
He wants you to know despite your frustrations and setbacks in life, he is intrigued by your continued cleverness and intellect and that with it, you have a compassion to give. He does ask that you do not sacrifice your own comfort for his sake or for the sake of anyone for that matter, and that you always remember that you come first.
I will truly confess to you all that I miss very dearly having a space to feel more connected to my greater community, especially when it comes to priesthood. I miss it. I miss the differing ideas, the different paths, the sharing of experiences.
Something Lord Dionysos has recently shown signs of wanting me to do is more divinations for my community. So, I will be offering readings for you all in his honor!

I wanted to get serious with you all for a moment. This is something I felt I need to share with you all as my community.
I almost abandoned the Hellenic Polythiesm faith recently. I almost left everything I have known for years because I was so, so tired of the online spaces and constantly fighting to feel accepted and safe and even welcome in my own community.
It is unfortunate that there are those out there in any community, but especially this one, who would prefer a clique over a real community, who would prefer to preach what they themselves do not practice, who do not seem to pay mind to the people they hurt by purposefully excluding them from a space they will say is safe.
So yes, I almost left the faith. I had posts drafted both here and on the temple blog saying goodbye to you all. The point of me saying this is that it is okay to feel doubt, it's okay to be frustrated and not feeling welcome is something you are not alone in.
