Dionysus Dimetor (twice-born)
When you are manic, Dionysos is with you
When you are depressed, Dionysos is with you
When you are delusional, Dionysos is with you
When you are euphoric, Dionysos is with you
When you are splitting, Dionysos is with you
When you are in a rage, Dionysos is with you
When you are struggling with your mental health in any way, Dionysos is right there with you. He will never be angry about your mental illness.
**I know all the gods are with you but as the god of madness, Dionysos feels most fitting.**
— Oh, Lord Dionysus, you who were reborn in the notes of the most beautiful songs, pour your wine into my life and illuminate it with your beautiful laughter!

Dionysian Madness~
An art offering to Dionysus <3
I kinda wish there were more HelPols around to organize actual feasts and festivals in honor of our gods
Like I'm always happy to celebrate them alone at home and give offerings, but I wish I had that sense of community, and it's the reason I envy Christians.
None of this is meant to sound angry or petty, but they get buildings of worship everywhere and they have fellow followers everywhere they can have community with.
I went on break at work one time and noticed there were six people around a table having a Bible study and they were just laughing and talking and having a good time, and I want that, just Hellenic
I want to be able to get together with other HelPols, bring food and wine, give offerings, and maybe there's even a stage set up where people will reenact some of the myths in honor of the god
Dionysus specifically was honored in theaters and with plays about him, and I want to take part in that so badly. I want to get together with other followers of Dionysus, dance to music, drink wine, and either watch or act in a play about him
I just wish Hellenic Polytheism (and Paganism in general) was recognized more as a religion so it was easier for these festivals to take place and be set up
How to Celebrate the City Dionysia
WHAT IS THE CITY DIONYSIA?
The City Dionysia (known also as the Greater Dionysia) was one of two ancient annual Athenian festivals grouped together as The Dionysia, dedicated to Lord Dionysus. The City Dionysia was held during the 10th to 17th of Elaphebolion (which roughly coincides to late March to early April) for around 8 days. The festival celebrates and honors the origin of Dionysos Eleuthereus' (which meant "The Liberator") arrival to Athens and is heavily known and famed for the theatrical competitions of Greek tragedies.
