He looked at the male and just longed for a conversation with him. He didn’t want them fighting or being at odds like they were at the moment, so he decided to stop being selfish, but that’s honestly what he had been to Samson. He was the one who put the distance there, he was the one hiding Samson’s one year old daughter from him… so in this situation he was highly selfish. And growing more and more scared that Samson would never talk to him again or even want to see his face. He heard the man’s voice, which soothed him more than he let on, but he came out of his thoughts and shook his head. “How? Me using my powers is equivalent to you using your muscles. Actually my powers are more validated. I was born with them, You grew muscles!” Hye teased the other, because he knew that a fun and playful argument was what the two of them needed at the moment. He did note how the other didn’t say anything about the roommate comment, but he didn’t know if that was reassuring or not. So he just decided to ignore that too. He sighed and looked up at the male and just looked back down towards his hands, then towards the window automatically thinking their ship have sailed.
“Nothing is stopping you.” He shrugged softly and looked out of the window. He nodded his head and looked out the window, maybe the other could get more progress with her. Maybe they needed to bond or have their demons halves bond together. But who knew - but Wyl never doubted that Issy would be better with both parents in her life. That was why he was here. “Well, in order to do that you have to come see her.” He stated, but was still thinking while looking out the window. He knew that he was probably being over dramatic with his thoughts, but he was always a mess when around Samson. The man just got him going to places he didn’t know his mind could go. But that all stopped when the truck sputtered. “Sammy…” He called once he first heart it, but then the truck came to a complete stop. “I….” He looked at the steaming truck, but then back to the man in front of him. Not sure what was fully going on with the truck, but he could definitely tell that it wasn’t good. “So, what the heck happened to that? See this is why you should’ve took my offer up when i offered you a new truck back then.” He shook his head and looked at the other, but sighed. “So what do we do now?”
Samson scoffed. “I grew into the muscles I was born into having eventually,” he debated. But the demon had a point. He was born with his powers so they weren’t any less natural for him than the wolf-born muscles were for the Beta. What smile he did have somewhat faded though as Wyl said nothing was stopping him from seeing the little girl. Again he chose to bite his tongue instead of saying anything, but when the demon backed off from him after the last time he offered help, it did keep him from seeing her. He wasn’t going to do so if things were so tense between them. “Well, now that I know you’re okay with me seeing her, I will,” he stated dryly.
The truck overheating and breaking down really soured Samson’s mood, and Wyl wasn’t making it any better. He pulled his hand back from his face and looked over at the demon. “Are you really going for an ‘I told you so’ moment right now? I don’t need a new truck. This is still a good truck. It’s just old and that means fixing things as they need fixed,” he somewhat snapped and then sighed because even in his mood, he felt bad snapping at Wyl. He got out of the truck, just long enough to go to the hood to open it, so that it would hopefully cool down sooner. Getting back in to the truck, he slammed the heavy door shut, leaning on the steering wheel. “We sit here and wait for it to cool down,” he finally answered. “Or I do. I guess with your powers, you don’t have to.” He rested his forehead on the top of the steering wheel, eyes closed. Maybe it was the universe telling them they shouldn’t have that night together. But after a moment his eyes opened and he looked over at Wyl, just staring at him in thought. Maybe it was the universe giving them a different opportunity. Time to truly be alone without any potential interruptions. He stared for a longer period of time before finally reaching over, getting a firm grip on the demon’s shirt. His gaze stayed locked on him as he pulled Wyl in closer, Samson leaning in as well until they were close enough for the Beta to claim those lips in a burst of passion.
