This incredibly sexy bass is an Ernie Ball Music Man Sting Ray 40th anniversary model. It is based on the 1976 prototype built by Leo Fender. In this particular model, which did not go into mass production, has a ten pole pickup so the strings are placed between them instead of over the poles. That’s why it is nicknamed “old smoothie”
