Julie and the Phantoms fics being written in the year of our Lord and Savior 2026??

Already made a post about one of these but since the fandom isn't too active on ao3 anymore... please forgive a little self promo 🙏

Silly me decided I could work on three at a time while the hyperfixation is strong, so! Whoopsies :D Here are all my ongoing ones:

1. Julie plays ghost matchmaker for Alex and Willie post-canon, updates every Wednesday (fingers crossed) and supposedly going to have a PeterPatter sequel when it's done...

2. PolyPhantoms with a little push from Julie and Willie, it's going to have alternating POV. Established Juke and Willex, exes-to-friends-to-lovers Lalex, and longtime pining Reggie.

Every few years I fall back into the Julie and the Phantoms fandom (who I’ve learned also call their fans ‘phans’ which definitely isn’t confusing as a lover of Dan&Phil lol)

The show is part of my soul since it marked the end of my name crisis (#genderfuckery) as I’ve gone by Alex for years now and think I always will

But every time I get back into it, it is ritual to find someone to force into watching it so that they can be mentally ill over dead ghosts and gay people and that stupid fucking cliffhanger ending 🥰 shout out to my victims ily <3 I desperately need this fandom to last

I’ve recently started watching Taskmaster and it kinda took over my brain when I’m supposed to be doing finals but.

I couldn’t get the fanfic idea out of my head of the Task Husbands trying to come out but literally no one taking them seriously because they’ve leaned so much into ‘the bit’ that everyone is convinced it’s just a continuation of the bit. No one believes them and they just become increasingly distressed because like. They’ve kissed on stage before, it’s not new. They talk about sex and living together all the time already, it’s part of their banter. They could have matching rings and say they’re married and people would be entertained by their commitment.

Very possibly done in fics I would’ve had filtered out but I haven’t been able to find anything like that, just one where that idea was referenced, but I think it’d be so funny
