How would you have liked to see Vlad developed in canon? Do you feel he should've had as much screen time as Danny?
I would've liked to have seen him played up as THE villain of the series, rather than on the villain-of-the-week roster. A character with an intimidating presence that makes you go, "Oh shit!" whenever he appears. What makes the series fall flat is that Danny overcomes whatever is thrown at him in each episode. Initially, Vlad was introduced as a more powerful version of Danny and then the show quickly threw that aside. I'd like to see some stakes and scenarios that make the most of their dynamic, and an overarching plot that builds up to a pivotal moment where it seems like Danny won't win. Or maybe he never wins. I want to cheer when Danny finally gets the best of Vlad after a long streak of losses. To answer your other question, I do think many of the initial villains serve an important role in the series in that they invite questions regarding Danny's identity and his struggles to balance his human and ghost half. I wouldn't want Vlad to take over the whole series, but I'd like to see him maybe take up more space, plot-wise.

Hi! I just wanna say thank you for posting all your art!! I really do love your work and it inspires me a ton. I’ve been an artist in the industry for a while as well and seeing your posts/art gives me a lot of motivation to go back to my roots and start posting what I enjoy again haha.
Waaah thank you so much!! I've struggled to grapple between my professional presence & my autistic fan presence a lot and it's always comforting to come across other industry artists in fan spaces. We all truly come from nerd beginnings haha. Danny Phantom is like a really beat up plushie from my toddler years that I still reach for sometimes as an adult
Hey I’m kinda new to your arts but i never got the chance to see your full arts including your old arts. Do you still upload your arts? If so i would appreciate if you do
Yes I do! I've uploaded all my old art in previous posts, just gotta scroll down my blog <3 honored you're enjoying my work
Hello! How have you been? We miss you <3
I've been super well! I've got my hands full working full-time in animation, & I just moved, AND I got a new pet pigeon. I'm also currently working alongside Shiyoon Kim & Andrew Chesworth on a project and am super excited!! Once things settle down I need to draw Danny Phantom.. my soul years for it fuck my chungus busy life
Why does my desire for love always leave me feeling corrupted?
Sometimes its about finding revenge in the little things
Yeah whatever kill ka kill Vlad be upon ye who cares anymore
What's a little love between selves
The little one just needs a hug, Vlad puts him on a surgical table to get the ghost out of him, Clearly the kind of parents Danny needs in his life
That’s what I love about Badger Cereal, it’s so dysfunctional. Vlad desperately wants a son but when he finally gets one he accidentally kills him. I really think there's something to be said about how it all panned out. It's not the kind of fatherhood he wanted. He has this depressed, traumatized husk of a child who comes to him as a desperate last resort. He wants to fix Danny but he doesn't know how. I think Vlad agreeing to remove Danny's ghost half was born out of his own desperation; he doesn't know what else to do. But he'll do whatever he can to get one step closer to what he actually wants. We forget Vlad isn't in this because he genuinely cares about what's best for Danny. He's thinking about what he wants and how he can soothe his own wounds, even if it's to Danny's detriment. Many parents become parents without the emotional maturity to understand the gravity of raising an individual. The love and care may seem selfless at times, but at the end of the day they're not doing it for the child's sake. It's for their own. They project onto the child and the child exists to fulfill the parent's fantasy. Vlad is no different.
Danny Phantom fans will either say “my favorite part of the show is when Danny’s parents expressed how much they wanted to dissect him.” Or “my favorite part is when Danny accidentally kills his entire family.” And both will genuinely be canon.
Danny notices he’s beginning to grow fangs. He tries everything he can to get rid of them until he finally relents to Vlad for help.
Bonus: my friend brought up a really fun scenario following this that I had to draw.
Too lazy to take this one past a rough first pass I ran out of steam
