I should never read the comments on any post about animal consciousness, because I get so fucking angry. I actually just blocked several randos over this. If you need to hear it from me, your impression that other species of animals, plants, etc are stupider than you or "don't have that spark of life" is entirely cultural, your lower european/christian culture is showing and you probably think of other races of humans as comparatively soulless as well.

If you genuinely believe thoughts are only centered in neurons, you have no understanding of modern science. Fish have passed numerous scientific tests proving they're self aware and understand the functions of mirrors, not to mention there are thousands of fishkeepers and eyewitnesses with even more impressive stories, but retarded monkeys called humans will still come online and say to think of fish as intelligent is "projection." The only projection is when I start to think of humans as empathetic social animals.

And don't even get me started on vegans. There is every bit of scientific evidence, and the testimony of my 20,000 year old religion which vastly predates your backwards christian philosophy, that plants can see as clearly as you or I, can feel pain and happiness, and after millions of years longer on the earth, they actually communicate with each other on a far deeper and more complex level than any animal. So in what way is it less immoral to only eat plants, when the biggest difference between them and us, is that they can't scream and run away?
