Short comic, while I work on something bigger on the side. It is nevertheless a very important topic. A lot of seabirds die because they eat plastic. They feed their chicks with the waste. Itโs really tragic.

When I was in Hawaiโi we got to dissect an albatross bolus and what itโs supposed to be full of is this:
Those are squid beaks, the albatrossโ natural prey. The bolus is supposed to be full of them. Ours had a small amount butโฆ
But this is what ours mostly contained:
That big black thing in the left picture? Thatโs a fucking pocket knife handle.
Tell me, in what world, in what universe is this ok??? This is so fucking tragic.
Itโs only getting worse every year.
Please, please, please, please be mindful of where you put your trash. Pick up any trash you see. Avoid using single-use plastics as much as possible. Do your part.
