I just LaFT and its so so good! The characters felt so real and you did an amazing job getting in touch with their emotions and building who they were. I love stories about two idiots falling in love and not only taking forever to recognize their own feelings, but then thinking the other doesn't feel the same. These two were BIG idiots and I love them so much.

hi there! i’m currently reading love at first touch (wow it’s 2020 and i somehow stumbled upon this GEM of a fic from, what, 4 years ago??) the boys have grown so much since then and the world has changed so much since then. i’m not even sure what i’m saying at this point...i’m kind of just rambling. i’ll get back to the point. your writing is amazing and i just want to thank you for putting this out there for readers like me. sending love xx (PS do you still watch one piece? im hype for ch1000)

(sorry to say it but i’ve never watched one piece, i just used it for the story so apologies if i got it wrong —and i know i got at least one thing wrong because i later saw an interview where jimin said he loves that show and pulled taehyung into it so i got it completely backwards)

Heyyyyyyy bagelbites! I have emerged from my cave with this smol gift clutched in my gnarled hands. 

I’ve been working on an original piece for a while now. To keep me motivated to finished it, I’m tapping into my greatest motivations, peer pressure and the fear of disappointing people. I know original work isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so I get it if you scroll on by, but I hope those of you who read will enjoy!

(PS the characters are basically gender-bent American versions of BTS, if that helps at all)

Fake Family

1. “This guy is being a creep and won’t leave me alone. Will you pretend to be my overprotective older brother for five minutes?”

2. “The nurse said only family was allowed back here, so I told her we were siblings. Just go along with it.”

3. “That person asked if I was your S/O. I’m sick of people not believing when I say we’re friends, so I said we were siblings.”

4. “I’m your bodyguard, but the event you’re going to does not allow bodyguards, so I’m now your sibling.”

5. “I was on a date, and the person made me uncomfortable, so I told them my parent was a cop. Only problem: My parents are dead, and you’re the only cop I know. Help?”

6. “We have a very elaborate story of how we’re related that we tell everyone when they meet us. No one has any idea that it isn’t true.” 

7. “I told someone we were siblings, but we look nothing alike, so you said I was adopted. Now they want to have dinner with my family… Are your parents good at lying?”

8. “We always joke that we’re siblings, but someone didn’t realize we were joking, so now we’re seeing how far we can carry this out.”

9. “Our organization is extremely covert, but your friends have caught me at your place a few times picking you up. I just found out that you’ve been telling them I’m your hysterical aunt who calls you every time she has a new heartbreak. Really? You couldn’t come up with a less embarrassing cover?” 

10. “Look, I love you, too, but if you keep telling people you’re my grandchild, I’m going to scream. I’m not that old, you know?”

Hi how are you? What have you been up too? Are you well? You're one of my favorite writers and I just thought to check in to see how you are doing :D

Hello lovely! It’s sweet of you to check in on me and ask! I’m doing very well. Well, today, specifically, I have a massive headache that’s been going on for nearly 48 hours now, so that’s less than ideal... But generally, life is very good. I finally have a job I enjoy and feel fulfilled at that pays the bills where no one yells at or demeans me. I have a safe home and a good community and a church where I feel welcome and loved. I have so many people who love me and whom I love all around me, who are safe and healthy and finding good paths for themselves. Plus, I have some fun plans for the summer! I’m also writing fairly consistently again -- an original novel, so nothing to post here, unfortunately -- which is both a sign of my good mental health and a method to keep my good mental health. 

This time last year was really just fucking awful, so I’m incredibly thankful for where I am and the health of my family and the stability of my life. Honestly, the contrast between this May and last May is nearly night and day. It’s a good reminder that the darkness cannot last forever. I’m sure there will be tough times again, so I’m basking in the sunshine while I have it. 

How are you, dear reader? I hope life is treating you just as well. I hope you’re getting enough sleep and staying hydrated and being loved and giving love to others and using your skills to make the world a better place. And if you’re not? If the darkness is heavy for you right now? Just know that I’m pulling for you. Keep going. The sunshine is waiting.

Hi its been 2 years since i’ve read love at first touch and I’m still not over this story. I really love your writing style and the way you portray the characters of your story. Hope I can read more stories from you. ( I specially love Park Jimin / OC ‘s stories)

Thank you!! I never thought people would still be reading and loving this story, this far down the line, and I'm incredibly grateful anytime someone says they enjoyed it.

I'm actually writing original fiction right now, but I'm using the boys as foundations for my charcters. It's been a lot of fun. I've got about half of the novel done and I'm considering posting some of it eventually, but I'm not sure if anyone in the fandom would be interested. We'll see!

I DID IT!

I finished NaNoWriMo 2018! And I did it one day early! The end of Chapter 13 brings my word count to 50,108. It also brings a first kiss in the snow and a snarky brother-brother text exchange about how much Eugene is NOT in love with Mina (hint: it’s exactly the opposite amount of that).

It’s not the end of the story, but it’s a huge start and I’m pretty proud of many parts of it, rough edges and all. I’m going to take just a few days break to attend to some life stuff that got put on hold in November, such as: most social interaction, consuming BTS content, shaving my legs, sleeping, grocery shopping, and most other things that are not working and writing. Then I’m going to dive back in to give Eugene and Mina the happy ending they deserve.
