[nods silently, lost in thought for a moment] Uh...dinner's ready, I think.

[Glances down at the baby, smiling slightly before looking back up at him] This is weird.

[smiles] Look how she's holding onto you. She doesn't do that to just anybody, Triona, she just knows she loves you and that's enough for her.

Yeah, but I won’t be somebody important to her. Just a background person who visits when mummy’s not home and sends presents on holidays.

She doesn't know many people. She's got me and Mary and her uncle and grandparents and then you're the person she sees the most after that. And she loves you, I can tell.
