Bag Review : Prada Saffiano Lux Tote & Celine Luggage

Prada Saffiano Lux Tote

I've been using the Prada Saffiano Lux for quite some time & I thought it would be helpful for me to give a simple review on it for anyone out there who needs an opinion on it before making a purchase.

Made of saffiano leather

Double handle

3 compartments  but only 2 have zips

Sizes come in small, medium & large

Many colours such as beige, white black, red etc.

The small & medium ones come with a strap for sling-ing purposes

I bought the large one at a price of $2300. Review : I found that it's very reasonably priced and it's good for casual day outs. It handles water, scratches & stains very well. However, the leather becomes soft very easily & the bag loses its shape after frequent use. As I bought the large size, it's pretty uncomfortable when I hold it on my arm as I can't sling it & it's pretty heavy. I recommend getting the small or medium one as it'll probably be more comfortable & also convenient to be able to sling it on your shoulder. There is plenty of space in the bag so that's great for throwing anything inside from scarves to cardigans to water bottles.

Review : The price tag for the Celine luggage is increasing every year. When I bought it a year ago, it was a $1000 cheaper. I bought it as a cost of $ 3500 The popularity of this bag is so tremendous that Celine decided to hike up its prices the next year. Now the average price for a basic micro celine luggage is around $4000 & varies depending on the colours and the material. Initially, I really wanted to get the tricolour luggage, until I stumbled upon this navy blue & black dual colour luggage. I couldn't help but fall in love with it. The colour makes it so easy to match with any outfit and I love how it's just the right shade of blue. It's classy & doesn't look tacky at all unlike the celine luggages that come in tricolours like red,yellow and black. The celine luggage is wonderful. It's easy & light to carry & very comfortable on the arm. It isn't too big or too small & really is the perfect fit for me. If you do get the smooth calfskin leather instead of the grainy one, be sure to be very careful with it as the leather is pretty soft and may get scratched easily. I love how the leather is soft but yet is able to maintain the structure and shape of the bag. I love love love the design of it, & I personally think it looks so much better than the Celine phantom. The price is crazy but I REALLY think it's worth it.

World’s Most Incomprehensibly Ugly Handbag Sells For The Price Of A House

The world’s ugliest purse was auctioned off for a cool $125,000, shocking literally every person with eyes and a modicum of taste. The bag is actually one of the most heinous that I’ve ever had the displeasure of laying my now-scarred eyes upon.

The Hermes ‘Geranium Porosus’ bag is a one-of-a-kind monstrosity, “made of matte crocodile and Togo leather and featuring built-in feet.” Yeah, built-in feet. I’ve always struggled with my various handbags that have inexplicably come without feet, so that feature alone is worth a solid $20,000.

To be fair, the crazy $125,000 price tag shocked everyone and not just me–the bag would have retailed for about $60,000 and was expected to be sold for only $50,000 at the auction. Even they knew it was so ugly it wasn’t supposed to meet its retail price!

But back to the bag. Why does it have an extra foot? Would four of those turgid suckers really not suffice? I was reminded of The Gromble from Ahh Real Monsters, which is spot on

"The bag looks like it might come to life at any moment and shuffle its way around, killing everyone in its wake. I know it has a personality, and its just lying there, dormant, waiting until the poor shmuck who shelled out a eighth of a million dollars lets his guard down. OHMYGOODNESS ! : Crocodile Givenchy Antigona for $ 36,000!??

Crazy bags at crazy prices !

It seems like all of our favorite bags are getting major upgrades for fall. First the Fendi 2Jours went alligator, and now the Givenchy Antigona Bag has debuted in an ultra-expensive crocodile version, beating the price of the 2Jours by nearly $8,000. If you’re bargain-minded and also fabulously rich, I suppose Givenchy just made your purchase decision for you.

This bag is also the most expensive bag at Neiman Marcus by a nearly $7,000 margin (the next most expensive is Gucci), and it also beats the most expensive bag at all the other major retailers we checked by at least the same amount, if not far more. It also beats everything on our list of the most expensive bags of Spring 2014, making it the current Internet handbag champion, at least if you measure winning by which price would make an average person the most light-headed.

As with the alligator 2Jours, this bag is an indicator of where there’s money to be made in the luxury industry. When you’re fabulously wealthy, keeping up with the Joneses is more like an arms race where the weapons are ever-more-expensive luxury goods.

If you’ve got some spare money hiding in your couch cushions on your yacht, you can pre-order this bag for $35,900 at Neiman Marcus.

Mainly there are two different kinds of leather: Lambskin and Caviar.

Lambskin

Super soft and therefor extremely fragile.

From doing some research (and owning other bags in lambskin) this bags needs a lot of attention, you need to be very particular about storage and preventing scratches and stains to the leather. Some also argue that the “puffiness” of the leather is reduced over time and the general look of the bag can look very worn

Calfskin (Caviar)

I personally LOVE the caviar leather!!!

From my experience the caviar skin is

more durable

easier to maintain unlike the lambskin leather

handles stains & scratches

Colour does not fade unlike the lambskin leather

" I love the Classic Chanel flap bag. I think it's light & easy to carry since it has a sling unlike top-handle bags. It's a classic beauty & it's easy to match with any outfit. I really think the classic chanel exudes style & classy-ness.  I recommend the medium size one though as it's easier to bring around. You can dress it down for a casual night out with the girls or dress it up & look classy for any special occassion or dinners."
