Vacation Express Returns to Grand Bahama Island
"New Year, New Flights"
FREEPORT, Grand Bahama Island - Jan. 24, 2018 - The Atlanta based tour operator, Vacation Express, known for its exclusive, non-stop flights and affordable all-inclusive vacation packages, has recently announced that the company will be returning to Grand Bahama Island with additional flight services.
The announcement, which comes at a time when many persons have inquired about the status of airlift on Grand Bahama Island, revealed that a total of eight non-stop flights departing from various US cities, will begin their flight schedules as soon as May 2018.
Flights from Detroit, Chicago, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Newark, Baltimore, Cincinatti, and Dallas will be operated by Swift Air LLC on a Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
Each flight will operate on a four-night rotation, departing various days of the week with early departures and late returns for an optimal vacation experience.
Vice President for Marketing & Sales, Vacation Express USA, Kevin Hernandez said, "We are excited about returning service to Grand Bahama Island! We have had requests from many passengers and travel agents who are generally looking for a great deal on a shorter getaway. From luxury hotels to budget friendly getaways, Grand Bahama Island offers everyone a piece of Caribbean paradise close to home at an affordable price."
With the return and additions of the Vacation Express flights to Grand Bahama Island, local businesses can look forward to a significant increase in the number of stopover visitors this year.
Betty Bethel-Moss, Director, MOT GBI, said "The Ministry of Tourism, GBI is excited about the return of our summer Vacation Express programme from eight gateways in the United States. Since Grand Bahama is no stranger to many of these gateways like Nashville, Newark and Cincinnati, we anticipate good traction from these markets.”
She added that the return of the Vacation Express service, operated by Sunwing, signifies the soft launch of Grand Bahama Island and all stakeholders must prepare "To receive this business, to brush up on customer service and go the extra mile to accommodate our guests so that they return as well as become Ambassadors for our destination."
With the return to Grand Bahama of one of America's largest and most trusted tour operators, Bethel- Moss noted that "Our plan therefore, is to ensure that the available product is ready to receive these guests as well as to have a series of summer cultural and heritage events, from May to August, so that our guests have the best Grand Bahama experience, from East End to West End.”
The Islands Of The Bahamas have a place in the sun for everyone. Each island has its own personality and attractions for a variety of vacation styles with some of the world’s best golfing, scuba diving, fishing, sailing, boating, as well as, shopping and dining. The destination offers an easily accessible tropical getaway and provides convenience for travelers with preclearance through U.S. customs and immigration, and the Bahamian dollar is on par with the U.S. dollar.
