Hello! This is my 2nd animatic, this time I worked on it in Clip Studio Paint, which is a nice change from Photoshop. I love Bad Bunny's album, DTMF (Debi Tirar Mas Fotos), and this song, "Baile Inolvidable," absolutely fits in the Spirk realm. Especially when Kirk 'dies'. I am well aware that not everyone knows this song or speaks Spanish, so I went ahead and provided lyrics in the video and below.

I feel like not enough Trek fans understand that McCoy, Spock, and Kirk are the triumvirate of the Id, Ego, and Super Ego, respectively. Yes, Spock/Kirk is the ship, but narratively you need all three.

McCoy is the appeal to emotion and compassion and empathy. Spock is the virtue of reason and perspective and judgement. Kirk, the captain, is the synthesis, the voice that dances with both and leads the tempo.

You can't just Spock/Kirk the vibe without missing a lot. Kirk being the hot to Spock's cold misses the point. Kirk isn't hot! He's not impulsive and irrational, he's an experienced balance. He was over cautious and academic in his youth and learned through loss caused by inaction that you have to forge ahead sometimes lacking the full picture, or people die. And sometimes they die anyway.

I'm begging on hands and knees stop writing Kirk as the skirt chasing macho asshole. He's supposed to be sensitive, thoughtful, resolved, and deeply passionate. City on the Edge of Forever is more than just fluff for your top ten video fuck
