Rowan gently hugged the girl back, smiling at her when she pulled away, “Well, Bailey, let’s get you all nice and clean so we can go get some yummy food.” She stood up and led her to the bathroom and turned on the tub.

Bailey nodded and grasped Rowan’s hand tightly. “Okay, Rowan!” The little blonde girl slipped out of her dress and stood beside Rowan as she prepared the bath.

Rowan made sure the water was the right temperature before getting her into the bath. She gave her a bath before drying her off and giving her a shirt and some shorts to wear. They would be a bit big on her, but it was better than nothing.

The bath was overwhelming at first but soon Bailey came to love the feeling of the warm water and the soap. It seemed luxurious to the small child. Once she was in some dry clothes Bailey began to yawn rub at her eyes sleepily.

Whistling is heard outside the room to the song Video Killed The Radio Star as Genis-Vell opens the door of the room after an exhausting day at Alias Investigations. Jessica and him dealt with a case that involved a cult in Sweden and because of his powers, they can go anywhere now wherever they want. It also helped that the car was a Kree transport vehicle. All he needed to do was wait for Carol to get back home.

“It was the first time….~”Genis softly sang but notices the cat on the bed. Strange, he’s surprised that Goose didn’t eat nor captured it before coughing it up outside. The Kree looks around then softly pets the said cat on the bed before gently picking it up then letting it sleep on the floor then lands on it and pulls out his phone to watch a funny video or two which he does with a video titled: Scammer contacts S.W.O.R.D. with his wife in it.

Bailey found the back corner of the closet and hid behind a large box. Once she was fairly safe she dug into the container of mac n cheese. She would scoop it out with her hand and ate it off her fingers. Bailey wouldn’t exit the closet until they promised they wouldn’t send her away. She didn’t want to leave Genis.

“Hey kid?” Genis called behind the door hoping she doesn’t find his old blaster during his Ravager days. The clothes in that closet held more than just clothes inside it. Carol leans against the wall letting Genis do it since this is all on him.

“You know I was like you when I was kid…..well, I started off with a normal life once. I got cancer but my mom found a way to keep it at bay with an infinity stone. It worked…..but I knew my life wasn’t going to be the same and I ran.”

Bailey frowned and set aside the tub of mac n cheese. She knew what it was to be different but did Genis understand how it to be rejected by your own flesh and blood parents. To be kept in a room devoid of light and sound for many of your formative years. Tears pooled in her grey eyes as she pressed herself even father back into the closet. She didn't feel the laser pistol until it had gone off.
