El Saltito Beach - you’ll find yourself immersed in a vista taken straight out of Hollywood. El Saltito features rugged cliffs, turquoise waters, and a rustic ranch in the middle of nowhere that few have visited. There’s something about this secluded place that gives it a wild feel, a vista of waves splashing on craggy rocks framed by bronze-colored mountains along the edge of a perfectly formed bay.
Calm marina at Baja California
Spring is here indeed..... even at Baja California Northe
Near Ensenada, Baja California, the northern part of the Baja Peninsula
Just re-discovered a sunset taken a while back at Lomas de Palmira. Great set
The famous letters at the malecon. Unfortunately are the conditions not so sunny right now, we had, on and off, the past 2 days rain and almost British climate conditions with grey skies. So no way to see the cement silo across the bay at entrance to Pichilingue port
The Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated in Mexico and elsewhere associated with the Catholic celebrations of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pray for and to remember friends and family members who have died. It is commonly portrayed as a day of celebration rather than mourning.
Today, Sunday 18. October 2020 - beach in front of La Concha Pearl hotel. It’s not overly crowded..... and reflects the general situation. It’s a shame, due to lack of proper support by the government a lot of the so called “essential” workers - under normal circumstances - are hurting with reduced or no income!
The La Paz Malecon after a few sprinkles from a quick shower. So far 2020 has been “reasonable” in terms of rain during the season. But we are only in the middle of September and hurricane season goes into November I believe this year.
The marina in La Paz and some killer-sunset sky! Life is good!! :)
a few days ago at the offshore rock of La Reina , to the north of Isla Cerralvo, is a favored site for Manta Rays between July-October. The mantas that visit this isolated but scenically rather unprepossessing dive site seem to be fascinated by divers and often deliberately approach them, coming close enough to be gently stroked.
4 seats, 1 road.... however, the most excitement is happening off-road! The Baja peninsula is famous for countless offroad desert races inclusive the Baja 250 / San Felipe 250, Baja 500 and Baja 1000
Stunning sunset colors at the Marina La Paz yesterday evening. Plenty of whalesharks here as well, just saying.... La Paz is worth the trip :)
Punta Arena de la Ventana Beach is located 100 km from the city of La Paz, belonging to the Los Planes Subdelegation, in the state of BCS. Its beauty and landscape is unique, predominantly its soft white sands; The multicolored sea in front of Cerralvo Island makes us impressed.
Baja California Sur - Estado Libre y Soberano de Baja California Sur. The coat of arms of Baja California Sur was adopted in 1975, a year after it became a state as it was previously a territory. Our coat of arms emphasizes the region's connection to the sea. Silver fish against a blue background stand for the ocean and its abundance, while a silver shell recalls the border battle waged by the inhabitants of Baja California Sur.
