they have exactly three shows to increase the morale on this card, and i have low hopes given we have a gross out-shining of aew vs aew matches on an aew vs njpw ppv. out of the 9 matches on the card right now, only 4 have njpw/stardom involvement. it's sad too because i really enjoyed tonight's show. i feel like i'm screaming into the wind and banging on like the old man yelling at a cloud right now because wrestling should be fun and enjoyable, and i am sure the show itself will be fine when it happens but my brain can't help but go what the absolute buffoonery is going on here when the aew vs aew matches could have literally been on any other show big or small?

i'm relieved that i'm not the only one feeling this way because at the end of the day these guys are promoting a co-produced show but are giving us a primarily aew show and i mentioned in a previous post the previous cards and how they are progressively getting worse about aew matches taking over and that's pretty bad. i literally just backtracked on a booking tangent to save people from reading my garbage rant but in short i feel like the g1 is a cop out to development for the card itself because there are a few narratives they could have leaned on from earlier this year. also they have a lot of super juniors who could have done some cross promotional work and a few others who may not have been in the g1 that could have done something there too. i want to believe this card will be better but i am cringing so hard i'm giving myself a headache.
