                   “ SO – HOW ARE you liking this party ? “, rocco decided to ask to the person who’d just taken a seat beside him on the curb, a little further away from the dancing crowd. sure, the guy had had some reservations at first – not that he was opposed to parties at all. back when things weren’t fucked up, rocco was first in line to attend one ( most often to keep an eye out on his friends ). however right now, he hadn’t been convinced it was the best option – everyone already was way out of their head, chaotic and slowly going crazy with all the newfound freedom. but seeing how everyone was going, the guy just couldn’t leave behind. 

“Haven’t been in it long enough to give an opinion.” Amy answered him. She had admittedly been quite wary of the party at first, she had started to warm up to the idea but she still didn’t want to dive head first into it and had resigned herself to roamed its outskirts for the moment.

    When he’d first heard of the idea to throw a party kota had declared everyone, this included the council, mad. all those who’d run chaos the past few days had had their fill of partying in his opinion. now that everyone had more or less gotten used to how their world had come to be, weren’t it better to start focusing on survival. there was enough that needed to be sorted, and answers were to be sought. But then he’d really thought of it, as he’d sat on the steps of the front porch of his home and witnessed the state of the town, and figured that perhaps a big party with everyone involved was exactly what they needed. all those worries could come later. Which is how he found himself nursing a whiskey in one hand and some kind of fruity cocktail in his other hand as he grinded his hips to the beat of the music in the crowd of everyone else. closing his eyes contently kota lost himself in the music and freedom, his mind empty of worries, deciding that yeah, a party really was the best idea. Sensing someone dancing in front of him he reached his arm out finding their hand and twirling them, not caring what the other person would do or think of him. it felt too good to be carefree. “this was the best idea,” he murmured, taking a sip from his cocktail as he himself spun around. @coldridgestarters

Amy could admit the party was a good idea, even though she was a little reluctant at first, in part because of the chaos that had reigned in the first few days of the incident and also because she felt the time could’ve been used doing something more productive. However, she had to acknowledge that that she needed to unwind and relax a little, the stress of everything was starting to wear down on her. Arriving at the party she had walked a little bit before deciding to dance, which she enjoyed doing a lot. Feeling herself being twirled was a surprise although definitely not an unwelcome one, before going there she had told herself she was going to have to let herself to let go and just have fun.

Rowan breathed a sigh. Some people really couldn’t just keep their shit together, and as if being stranded in his hometown wasn’t bad enough, he now had to look at and deal with someone crying. In his opinion, it was rather pathetic.·“Hey, can you like… not?” he asked harshly. Her eyes were reddened and her voice thick with emotion when she turned to look at him; hair falling slightly over his eyes as he surveyed her, Rowan raised an eyebrow. Everything about his demeanor screamed unimpressed.·“I said, can you stop doing that?” he repeated.·“You’re kinda bumming out my whole area.” He waved a hand to indicate a radius of a few meters around himself, his tone completely devoid of sympathy for the poor girl’s plight.

The rudeness of the reply snapped Amy out of her self pity party and she stared at him, unsure whether to be unimpressed by his attitude or annoyed by it. “Sorry, if my mood is bothering you, please feel free to leave my general vicinity, your presence will certainly not be missed,” The blond snapped at him before muttering. “Fucking asshole.” Nothing like a douchebag to take Amy out of her funk.

dakota:

the blonde had caught his attention only a few moments ago, kota had actually been watching two pigeons pudgering about, bringing a soft smile to his face. at least they could be blissfully unaware of the situation. his vision had been disrupted by the girl walking past, but by the way her shoulders were hunched and her head was facing down clearly trying to hide from people, he hadn’t minded. it was clear she needed help, but the problem was if she actually wanted it. kota felt no need to intrude, but he couldn’t deny he was already worried. there was no way he was going to let someone break down on her own. even if she’d fight him on it. making his way over, slowly taking step by step as to not startle her in case she didn’t hear him, he tapped her gently on the shoulder, asking if she was alright. he could tell she hadn’t heard him though, and he was proven right when the short girl asked him to repeat. “i asked if you were alright? i couldn’t help but notice you look really distraught. is there anything i can do for you?”

Amy ran a hand through her hair, her frustration and sadness was definitely showing despite her best efforts to hide her emotions. “Unless you have a way to make everything go back to normal, no, I don’t think you can,” She answered, before realizing it probably came out as aggressive, which was far from her intention. “Sorry if I sound snappy, I’m just really stressed right now.”

“I just asked if you’re okay…” She said walking closer to the girl. “And if you want it.” Camille raised her hand that held a bottle of vodka. Usually she probably wouldn’t offer, knowing that the alcohol and other things, as food, would be over soon. But looking at the girl’s sadness, Cami thought she could use something to try and make her feel better, even if temporarily. “It looks like you might to need it.”

Amy wasn’t really a big alcohol drinker, she enjoyed the buzz but she was never one to get pass out drunk when in a normal situation. However, she’d been having a crappy past couple of hours as everything about the current really dawned on her, that was why she took the bottle from the girl’s hand before taking a considerate sip and handing it back to her. “Thank you for that, I guess I do need it, everything is kinda of really screwed up at the moment.” She confessed

           AS FAR AS ENCOMPASSING the world of religion cameron came was his past history of going to church with his nanny on sundays. his parents asked it of her regardless of her being jewish and he, christian. he imagined she got paid well enough to have put her religion on hold. nonetheless, the visits came to an end with his departure to coldridge. his grandmother was not like most. she was more adolescent than he was. he never looked down on the fact, but within his many years of embodying new experiences and learning new ways, he came to the realization that perhaps he was more alone than he thought growing up. he certainly had to rely on himself for much. most especially emotional conflicts and adapting his own mental awareness. it was in thanks that he managed so well in the adult world regardless of his quirks and liking for what could be identified as kid-like commodities. this new town, or old, whether it was the same or not, brought to light much of how little his grandmother impacted him and how she was more around for the company than not. what lead him to the church today he did not know, he always was so used to being able to find an answer for his own concerns, but this time he was at a loss. when the weeping of the woman behind him intensified and at last managed to pull his focus away, he found it in him to speak up, and to speak up for the male was not something he would do on the ordinary day. ❛ ugh, i was just - - asking if you were okay ? ❜ what a stupid question. stupid cameron. of course she wasn’t okay. were any of them, really?

A sigh left Amy’s lips as her shoulders fell and she pondered about how such a simple question had so many implications. “Is anyone around okay? I mean, most people are either going off the rails or trying to fix things while trying to ignore the fact that things are probably never going to be the same ever again.”

Charlotte had been wandering around, trying to figure out if there was something they’d missed. It didn’t seem likely, but who knew, right? She’d been spending most of the past days with her nose stuck in the books she’d gathered, but even the craziest theories didn’t come close to what seemed to be happening here. Though that massive problem faded from her thoughts the second she saw the blonde. Her body language indicated that the girl was probably far from okay, so when she finally responded to her question, Charlotte made sure to put on a reassuring smile. “ I was just asking if you were alright. ” She repeated, her lips pressing into a small smile as she glanced at the blonde. 

That was the thing, wasn’t it? Amy was far from alright but she couldn’t allow herself to not be alright or at least not in front of other people. “As alright as anyone can be in a situation like this I suppose.” She stated with a shrug.

Tears welled up in Amy’s eyes no matter how much she tried to stop it from happening. She had been holding out okay so far but the pressure of being one fifth of the council plus the pressing weight on her chest reminding her that apart from Andi, her entire had gone missing, disappearing without leaving a single trace as to where they might have gone or to what could have happened. She was doing her best not to cry, she was pretty far away from all chaos and screaming but it would not body well for someone to find her breaking down in public. Amy was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that even though she heard the person behind her speaking, she did not register the words they said.
