Things Worse than Nightmares (bakulenthetrickster & @fear-garden-len)

Interacting with others that looked like him was admittedly, not the baku's favorite pastime. Although he took pride in being the superior version of "Kagamine Len" (or at least, he thought so), running into others wasn't exactly pleasant. But this one...didn't seem too threatening. In fact, something about the other's dreams were...intriguing, so to speak.

"Sir, I couldn't help but notice you seem nervous. Do you not normally encounter others like you?"

"it's just unusual that's why-"

The baku laughed, as if he found the other amusing in some way. "I must admit I'd gotten used to meeting people who look similar. Am I correct in assuming your name is Len?"

Even if it wasn't, the other resemblances were uncanny, but he'd bet that the other one had never encountered a lookalike with grey eyes and pointed ears before.

"ye..and I assume your Len too?also why do you have pointy ears?"

"Actually, I don't have a name, but you may call me Baku if you wish. As for why I have pointy ears?" Another chuckle. "Well, you being another one of those, I see no reason to hide it from you."

"I am a baku, sir. A dream-eating spirit. As you've probably guessed, I am not human."

"Wait they exist!? I thought..uh actually nevermind wait..why do you eat dreams..wait a second did you eat mine without me knowing?-"

"Don't be ridiculous. I can only eat someone's dreams if someone lets me. And while I normally wouldn't go near the dreams of any boy lookalikes...

There's something different about your dreams. Though I can't put my finger on what, let's just say they're particularly intense."

"I don't suppose you'd like to tell me what that's all about? Don't worry, I can keep a secret. After all, half the world doesn't even know I exist"

There's something a bit disturbing about the way the baku's looking at Len. Like he's an exhibit in a museum.

Noticing the other boy being on edge, Baku abruptly stopped observing him. However, the mischievous look on his face remained.

"It's nothing, really. I was just hoping you'd confide in me. After all, we are similar, are we not?"

The dream eater knew very well they were different in many ways. But he was still curious. Almost a little too much.

"Let's cut to the chase. Are you, or are you not, having very disturbing nightmares?"

"I uh..I suppose I do..but I rather don't.. want to talk about them..think about...her..alone..is not great.."

"Hm, it sounds like you've had quite the experience. I'm not clueless, sir. I know when someone's been traumatized."

"Are you sure you can't just describe one to me, or does the very thought sicken you?"

Baku was this close to taking off the kid gloves. However much he liked to tease Lens, though, making them relive past trauma did somewhat leave a bad taste in his mouth, so to speak. But if this other Len could lead to other targets, well...surely it would be worth prying a little further?

"..well..uh..my sister was rather..obsessive when it came to hands..and she..wanted a garden of them..and if I didint escape..I would most likly be..part..of.."*Fg Len didint want to continue further as the thought alone already makes him sick*

"It's a good thing you managed to escape. I imagine you must be rather lucky."

"..Lucky is a loose term for it..I suppose she got..distracted by someone else that's how..but why are you this interested in my traumatic experience in the first place!?"

"I'd call it curiosity, but that wouldn't be the whole truth. Honestly I was simply wondering if I could find others with nightmares as strong as yours."

"Let's just say I'm a bit...partial to such dreams."

Baku was being vague on purpose, but anyone could tell what such a creature intended, if the look on his face didn't already give it away.

"not sure if there are others..usually the people..she...killed didint..survive..and I'm unsure what she did after I flet from there since I havnt been to school since so can't exactly help you on that part-"

The baku, visibly disappointed, gave an exaggerated shrug. "Such a shame, I was beginning to think you would be more useful than some of the other Lens I've met."

"Still, I would like to know, how is it you're aware of others like you? It's not something Lens always know, but you seem to be quite familiar with us."

"Well it's weird I admit but I'm currently living with another Len that's why-..and he knows Lens and well its alot of Lens-..but what Lens did you meet?"*while Fg Len mentioned he lived with another one he looked a bit embarrassed-*

Baku was being annoyingly secretive about this, although he might have appeared to flinch when Fg mentioned he lived with another Len.

"Interesting. I wouldn't have thought we could coexist with each other that long. Without being at each other's throats that is."

"You're quite right about that" the baku said with a smirk. "I don't suppose I'll be meeting more of you in the future?"

"I mean maybe? You can come along if you want I'm sure Pb Len wouldn't mind- I'm unsure about the rest though they don't bite but one does have alot of flamethrowers and the other is rather possessive of their love to their "darling""
