Hello, lovely members. This roleplay has been open since July of last year, and it has been an absolutely incredible run. We’ve had the pleasure of having amazing members who’ve come up with fun plots. We can honestly say that we have enjoyed roleplaying with all of you, and we really hope that you can say the same!
This shouldn’t be much of a surprise, but after much deliberation, we have decided it’s time to official close Balboa. Believe us, a lot of thought has gone into this decision, and was a very hard decision to make. We are no longer able to be dedicated to the roleplay and all the attention that it needs to keep it what it was. This roleplay has always been high-in-demand and time consuming for everyone that admins it - which is why admins have come and gone (and come back). It’s truly draining.
We will miss all of you so much, and we really hope that you keep up with your characters. You can continue on as is-- how you have been playing. We’re not blind to see that you still have a strong muse and plots with your characters and we encourage you to continue with that. The OOC blog will stay as is, the only real difference will be the new members coming in and the recaps. You guys are dedicated enough to continue on with the roleplay without having a main!
The only thing we do ask that you please not start another group advertising and accepting members based of off this plot. Admin Ashley put a lot of thought into the plot behind Balboa, and none of us would be very comfortable with it being replicated.
If you have an questions for us, we’ll both be around. Please understand that we truly hate having to close down the roleplay at all, but all good things eventually come to an end. Again, we’re sorry to disappoint the few who are still playing and we love all of you so much. Thank you for bringing such great characters to life, and for making Balboa as successful and fun as it was. We wish all of you the absolute best!
