I was wondering if it was just me but I seriously think zevlor’s new ai uses frost way more now which like, okay then, but they set up the fight with minthara to have oil and he even says they have fire arrows but… they dont use them? and if he doesnt use fire bolt? Let him burn things…give him hellish rebuke too…

patch 6 was really underwhelming compared to patch 5 mostly since the new lighting makes some ares completely unbearable and unplayable, idk wtf settings people are using where they say its good or better lighting because like…seriously….cannot play some parts because i cant fucking see

it’s from an interview with larian’s founder and lead designer, swen vincke:

“For the presentation, Swen Vincke selects one of the Origin characters with Astarion. He is a so-called vampire spawn, i.e. a vampire who is the slave of a vampire master. The high elf used to be a judge in the city of Baldur’s Gate, but a very nasty and evil person. He has sold convicted criminals as slaves and food sources to the Cazador family, which are vampires. As he tried to squeeze more and more money out of this business relationship, the Cazadors let him feel their power and made him their vampire slave.”

a similar quote from another interview of a demo presentation, meaning larian must have presumably supplied them with this information:

"In this case, we were shown Astarion, who seemed like a real asshole. A disgraced nobleman who used his position as a local magistrate to serve a vampire clan by feeding them prisoners, he was eventually too corrupt even for them and was effectively sent to serve as the personal slave of a powerful vampire. Astarion has the affected sophistication of a true decadent, like one of Richard E. Grant's less likable characters."

My aasimar’s greatsword, originally part of an old statue of Kelemvor. He broke it off in a last ditch effort to repel the undead infesting the temple to which he escorted a priestess, then proceeded to have a moment of enlightenment and catch on (radiant) fire.

Later he had it sharpened and an inscription carved into the blade. Not the most elegant weapon but he’s not the most elegant swordsman. The inscription is in celestial!
