Diane prime - Rick and Morty au
After Rick Primeās death, his base emitted a signal to a robotic instrument designed specifically for that moment. The machineās sole purpose was to receive Rick Primeās consciousness, transferring it into a new vessel so that he could continue existing beyond death. However, due to a system failure caused by an unknown force, the transfer went wrong. His consciousness fragmentedāonly a part of his memories were successfully uploaded, while the core of his being was scattered across the universe, lost and incomplete.
But when Rick died, something else awakened. Something that had been hidden for a very long time.
Diane.
Yes. Diane.
She had been imprisoned inside a cubicle with a chip, a structure created not to sustain her, but to trap herāreduced to a disembodied mind, stripped of form, time, and dignity. Rick had kept her there like a toy, a grotesque trophy of his conquest as a self-proclaimed god. After erasing her physical form, he preserved her consciousness solely to feed his ego. He despised her. Constantly reminded her that she had held him back, that she had almost prevented him from becoming the smartest man in the universe.
At first, Diane responded. She murmured. She whispered fragmented words of pain and regret. But eventually, she fell silent. She listened. She endured the sharpness of Rickās words without resistance,
And then, it happened. Rick died.
Diane had waited for this moment for a very long time. In the cold isolation of her prison, she calculated endlessly, planning every possible route of escape. Rick underestimated her. To him, she was just a harmless toy. He never imagined her true capabilityāand that ignorance gave her the advantage she needed.
As a consciousness, Diane invaded Rickās systems, altering them subtly, patiently, from the shadows. She modified protocols, rewrote safeguards, and planted a single openingāsmall enough to go unnoticed. The robot already existed, abandoned in a forgotten corner of reality, programmed to activate only upon Rick Primeās death. Diane waited anxiously for it to awaken. She could not act sooner. The machine was strictly locked to its condition, and she knew with certainty: if Rick had ever seen her standing before him, free, he would have killed her without hesitation.
So she waited. And eventually, Rick Prime met his end.
Diane awoke in a reality that was far from home, the atmosphere, the people... Thats not her place anymore, she knew that. The moment her consciousness stabilized within the machine, she was overwhelmedāflooded by Rickās memories. His knowledge. His intellect. The mind of a god forced violently into her own. But that was exactly what she needed now.
Rick Primeās atrocities played through her mind like endless films. Every catastrophe. Every cruel experiment. Until she discovered something that corroded her soul. Thousands of versions of herselfāerased. Or so everyone believed.
Rick had invented a device to remove Diane from existence across realities. But that wasnāt the truth. Those Dianes were not destroyed. In his cruelty, Rick had isolated them instead, sealing them away in a plane of existence only he could access. Unconscious. Trapped. Condemned to an eternity of emptiness, denied even the mercy of judgment or death. Her ābloodā boiled. Rage and horror surged through her metallic body. To Rick, she had never been human. She was just a silly obstacle that should have never existed in the first place. He couldnāt even allow her peace.
Rick Prime, ever meticulous, had hidden the memory of how to reach that plane in a place no one could even find. It was meticulously placed so nobody but him could reach. Truly a perfect crime. But Diane had his intelligence, maybe it wouldnāt be that much of a pain to find it.
In that moment, she found her purpose. She would give those Dianes a chanceājust as she herself had been given one. No matter how long it took. Even if it consumed the rest of her existence. Slowly, still disoriented, she stood. Her new body was cold metalāincapable of pain, incapable of touchābut it granted her something she had not felt in an eternity: control.
In the corner of the room, she noticed something unsettling. A metallic head, sculpted with her face. Her hair. Exactly as she had been when she was flesh and bone. She chose not to question the sick reason Rick had created it. Instead, she took it with her, determined to refine her form.
A new Diane was rising.
Hi guys sorry if this post is kinda cringe or badly written I had this idea on the shower
It will be improved eventually, both her lore and her design, I just wanted to dump my primary idea here
