did morty C-147 kill morty C-37's family for the exact same reason as rick prime killed rick C-137's family? im asking this because it's hard for me to understand. when rick C-137 was about to discover interdimensional portal travel morty wasn't even born yet and after he was born interdimensional portal travel was already spread around for every rick, so it wouldn't make sense for morty C-147 to kill his family for not patenting something that already exists. sorry if this came off as negative I'm just curious

Yes, I understand your confusion, but let’s try to keep it simple. I think from the title “Morty and Rick” it’s already clear that Morty plays a bigger role as a main character. Of course, the story may have some plot holes, but everything will be refined over time.

So, in my AU, Mortys were the first to discover interdimensional portal travel. This is very important for understanding the story.

Now, why does Prime Morty C-143 kill the family of Morty C-37? In the story, he does it because Morty C-37 refuses to accept his offer to cooperate with other Mortys. Because of that, Morty C-37 starts to see himself as a “different kind” of Morty (which Prime Morty C-143 interprets as him trying to be better than him). This is why he brutally kills Morty C-37’s family—basically throwing down a challenge to see if he can find him.

(As I mentioned, other details will be adjusted later, especially things like age.)

Overall, the plot is inspired by the original, so there won’t be too many major changes.

Prime Morty C-143 himself is truly very cruel, and he is genuinely entertained by the suffering of others, especially those weaker than him, including beings like his own family, even Rick.

Prime Morty C-143 has neither empathy nor compassion, and he barely even has emotions. I would definitely describe him as worse than a psychopath.

I want to show you this through a small example, two short frames from my storyboard for Season 7. Here, I present a scenario of what would happen if Prime Morty C-143 had won the fight against Morty C-37 and Evil Rick.

Prime C-143 would not kill his Rick. On the contrary, he would take him along. Prime Morty C-143 needs a way to entertain himself, so to speak, and he would also need a small assistant. But first, he would make it clear to Rick who is in charge. He would subject Rick to a cruel demonstration by injuring him and then healing him afterward. In this way, he would psychologically break Rick until he started helping him properly.

Yes, this is quite harsh, but my goal is to show a truly terrifying villain, a real threat, and to explain why other Mortys were chasing him to take revenge for their destroyed families.
