A few people (myself included) have joked about Thomas’s plot in ‘Happy Holiday’ being like call out or metaphor for fans who’ve been… open about fancying Baynton over the years, and today I’ve been thinking about how it’s just so, so funny if you follow that reading all the way through the episode. Because if you do, the message isn’t ‘hey, don’t be creepy about our friend Mat - that’s creepy!’, it’s ‘hey, don’t be creepy about our friend Mat - he’s not a good enough actor to deserve it!’
