I already made a masterpost for them, but I wanted a new one so here we are. I wanted to go into a little more detail about the events taking place in these artworks so anyone who is interested can learn about my babies.
All artworks contain links to the original posts made by the artists who I commissioned them from (except in one case, where the art is posted on my own blog), and the artists are also tagged.
My AU is primarily based on The Lord of the Rings film universe, with book details added in ā along with some random details from The Lord of the Rings online that I read about on the wiki. The most major changes to the story are that Boromir marries a woman named Aeroniel a few months before leaving Minas Tirith for Rivendell, and that he survives being shot by arrows at Amon Hen. After that, he continues to travel with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. (There is a single piece of NSFW artwork in this post, so you have been warned!)
There's not much of a story here, it's just Boromir and Aeroniel being adorable. Amazing artwork by @theoasiswinds š§”
After learning that his father planned to betroth him to his cousin LothĆriel, Boromir realised the depths of his feelings for Aeroniel. Boromir had long believed that he would never marry, but meeting Aeroniel ā and most importantly, imagining a world where he was married to someone who wasn't her ā pushed him to finally tell her how he felt about her and ask her to be his wife. After the Horn of Gondor washed up on the banks of the Anduin, Faramir visited Aeroniel and informed her that they believed Boromir dead. Weeks later, Boromir returned to Minas Tirith very much alive, and reunited with his darling wife. Gorgeous artwork by @dagnyart š
Not long after the end of the war, Aeroniel discovered that she was with child. Months later, while he is out training some soldiers, Boromir was told that his wife had gone into labour. He rushed back home to find that his child ā a daughter ā had already been born. Though he missed the birth, Boromir was still overjoyed. After so long without hope for the future, here was the manifestation of it bundled up in his arms. Aeroniel suggested that they name her Finduilas, after Boromir's late mother. Another fantastic artwork by @theoasiswinds š

Some random questions I answered about Boromir and Aeroniel
Okay, so Iāve always had it that in the future of Boromir and Aeronielās story, their eldest daughter Finduilas marries Eldarion, as the two have been in love since they were children. But now Iām thinking⦠maybe I should add some tragedy in there?
What if Eldarion and Finduilas want to marry each other, but Eldarion is implored to make a political match to secure peace, like to a princess from Harad or somewhere else. He always stays faithful to his wife ā who he does care about ā in body, but in his heart he always yearns for Finduilas, who either makes her own political marriage or stays unmarried.

Honestly, this isnāt the only thing Iāve been thinking of changing in Boromir and Aeronielās story. Iāve even been considering making it so their first son survived.
The original plan was for their Finduilas to become the Steward after Boromir, but I canāt really see that working anymore. No way are they going to let a woman be the Steward, no matter how smart and capable she is. But their surviving son, Aerviron, really isnāt cut out to be Steward. Heād probably run away if they tried to make him do it š
So Iām thinking that rather than Aeroniel going into early labour when hearing about Boromirās ādeathā and the baby being too small to survive, weāll instead have Boromir return to find his wife heavily pregnant. The baby had been named Boromir in my original plan, but that was only because Aeroniel was mourning her husbandās death. Since the baby will be born later, heāll need a different name. I quite like Amdir as a name for him.
Oooookay so I have more thoughts. I realised that itās very important to Boromir and Aeronielās story that they lost their first child. But the other stuff I said above still stands. Also, having two girls before having a boy also has a significance in the story as well.
So the way I see it, I have two options:
1. I replace Aerviron with Amdir completely. The name change is necessary because if I keep the name Aerviron, Iāll struggle to see him with a different personality. This way, I wonāt have to find a different fancast for him and just stick with Robert Aramayo.
2. Insert Amdir in the birth order between Faenvirien and Aerviron, so Amdir can be the Steward while Aerviron can do his own thing.
not to sound like a christian facebook mom but some of yall need to have grace in your hearts for the people in your lives or the people you pass once on the road and never see again like you literally need to stop assuming the worst of everyone and their intentions it is poisoning your brain. you can be careful and responsible without being a miserable person. it is possible i promise
honestly i have been responding to some of these replies at face value bc i do also think you have a duty as a human being to be nice to people. but if you think this post is scolding you to be nicer to people then youve already lost the plot. this post is about how assuming that everyone you meet is hostile and wants to hurt you is bad for you. it ruins your life and it is a choice you are continually making.

Sheās not in the tournament, but free my girl Rosie Cotton from The Lord of the Rings. She committed the crime of being a love interest to a male character who is shipped with another man. The fandom constantly disregards her and calls her Samās ābeardā despite the fact that theyāre very much in love and have 13 kids together! I donāt care that sheās a minor character, the LOTR/wider Tolkien fandom is happy to flesh out minor male characters all the time. Why canāt Rosie get the same attention?
She's in the game Tales of the Shire, and she's so fleshed out! (As much as the characters in that game are fleshed out). Wants to prove herself as a good farmer to her kind but sexist father, has a works hard and takes no bullshit attitude. Little hints that she might have a crush on Sam but it very much "swept under the rug" in that "no no, I didn't make a comment about him, please grow these veggies for me". I haven't finished the whole friendship quest with her yet so I might be missing some stuff, but Weta did a pretty good job considering how the fandom treats her.
