We visited Egypt in November 2025 and started with a few days in Cairo visiting the museums and the pyramids. Then it was off for a river cruise down the Nile using the ship as a base to visit numerous ancient sites before winding down in a hotel on the Red sea.

My story on a March 2026 visit to China and its cities of Beijing and Xi'an with a high-speed train journey and guided tour the part of the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and the Terracotta Warriors. First part the journey from Ireland.
