― Your 5th single in Japan “FEEL SO GOOD” was released wasn’t it. It’s finished up differently to the songs you’ve done till now, but truthfully, is this an image change?
YJ: It isn’t an image change. It’s simply that the album this song was recorded in was released in Korea during spring, so we just thought to have a song that suited spring. Something that would lift your spirits just from listening to it. To put it simply, it’s a “cool cute” song. The beat is bright and I think it’s a song brimming with good energy.
ZL: You’re right, it is a song that was completed in exact reverse to me and Yongguk hyung’s personalities (laughs). The voice as well. I’d like them to focus on how we sing it as well.
DH: We may have had many intense song for our singles so far, but this is also part of our charm. Since it’s a happy and fun song, I think it’ll be communicated to everyone right?
― As Daehyun said, the music video for “FEEL SO GOOD” is brimming with fun energy. Is that similar to your real selves?
DH: It’s the most similar to me. Like opening my mouth real wide to laugh and playing pranks (laughs).
HC: Talking about pranks, they are Daehyun’s specialty!
ZL: More like, that’s all he has (laughs).
YJ: Everyone, was basically being themselves. The main plot was already decided, but since it was a filming style of us acting freely within the frame, we showed our true selves without restraint.
― I see. How was Yongguk?
YG: …… I worked hard (laughs).
ALL: (laughs)
― (Laughs). The tennis court scene where Youngjae chucked a tennis ball with all his might to Daehyun in the music video was memorable.
YJ: (Whilst holding in his laughter) Right? That was good right?
DH: It really hurt. And for some reason, it was just that scene that took a long time to film. I was hit with the tennis balls so much that it’s uncountable.
YJ: The director said to throw it hard so I couldn’t do anything about it (laughs).
DH: You couldn’t do anything?
YJ: (Deadpanning) I was just acting. I didn’t even give it my 100% for the throwing (laughs). Like this (pretends to throw a ball), I was only throwing it gently~
DH: Lies, you threw it like you were getting revenge! Your face was all jaunty wasn’t it!
HC: Well, I do understand his feelings.
ZL: I wanted to participate too!
DH: !!??
― You’ve been keeping quiet, but Jongup threw a ball at Daehyun too right (laughs)?
JU: Whilst filming, it naturally turned out that way.
DH: Not you too!
JU: (Grins)
― Jongup was in charge of the choreography for “FEEL SO GOOD” right? If I remember correctly, in Korea, there were 3 names for the dance moves.
JU: The two of us, Zelo and I created it together. After we revealed the choreography, the fans named it for us. I too, forgot the proper namings for them. (Smiles shyly) We didn’t name them, so I’m sorry. Honestly, I’ve forgotten those namings!
― Oh dear (laughs). Also, there was an interesting scene…… Jongup was tied up and Himchan was pulling on that rope whilst Daehyun was in between them……
HC: About that…… We don’t really know either (serious face)
JU: I stood like this…… (reenacts the scene by himself)
YG: The director probably, wanted to film our closeness with each other, like we usually are?
― Ah, I see, that’s right. By the way, I heard that the room pairings were different for the tour this time round. How did you share the rooms?
HC: Ah~ yes yes. As always, I shared a room with Yongguk. Then Jongup and Daehyun, and Youngjae and Zelo shared their rooms. It’s changed from before.
ZL: I used to be in the same room with Jongup hyung, but Daehyun hyung who was Youngjae hyung’s partner ended up shared a room with Jongup hyung.
― Why did it change?
JU: It changed, but it’s not always split like this. It just turned out like this by chance this time.
― So that’s how it is. How does everyone spend their time at the hotel? Please tell me about some B.A.P “hotel stories”.
YJ: Aah~ Zelo likes pools. Whichever country we go to, he’ll immediately go to check out the pool after we check in. And then he’ll take a photo of the pool and say “Hyungs, this is how the pool looks like this time. Let’s go in together” in our group chat.
ZL: That is my hidden joy. But unfortunately, we haven’t stayed at a hotel in Japan before that has a pool (takes a quick glance to the Japanese management staff). I want to go to one~ I want to go to one~ Youngjae hyung always holes up in the room and watches videos on his computer. What videos he watches though……
DH: Huhu. You can’t say it~ (laughs)
ZL: I can’t say it~ (laughs)
YJ: Don’t say weird things! They’re just comedy and music videos of other artists and the like!
JU: Or so he says (grins)
YJ: Oi, don’t make it sound like I’m some shut-in! I take a stroll around the hotel too don’t I?
ZL: You did? (laughs)
DH: I didn’t see that once at all during this tour (laughs). Also, this is something that I found out anew…… Usually, an ahjumma does the cleaning in our dorms. But no matter how much its cleaned, it doesn’t get very tidy. So I thought curiously “why is that so?”, but I now know from this tour! Jongup, you’re the culprit!
YJ: (In Japanese) You are!
ZL&HC: (Points to Jongup)
JU: (Grins)
DH: In any case, he doesn’t return the things he uses back to it’s original spot and just leaves it lying around. I too am bad with housekeeping, but during this tour, I’ve been diligently putting away the things that Jongup uses.
― That’s what they’re saying Jongup. Do you have any rebuttal (laughs)?
JU: I don’t.
DH: Don’t you have a word of thanks or anything~?
JU: Not in particular.
DH: What?!
JU: (Grins)
YJ: (Pats Daehyun’s shoulders)
― (Laughs). Well then, let’s move on. Was there anything that “gave you a fright” or made you feel “I failed that” during the tour this time round?
HC: Actually, there was a once where I dislocated myself……
DH: When we went to Sydney, Australia for the tour this time, Himchan hyung dislocated a joint. Probably, it was because the venue was cold. Himchan hyung immediately went to the stage wings but the song continued on.
HC: Oi, I’m still talking.
YJ: That’s right, it became a situation where we had to complete the stage with the rest of us only.
DH: Usually you’d think we’d get panicked, but even though we hadn’t decided on the dance formations, everyone moved really naturally. It gave me a fright but I thought “Ah, we’ve become one” and it moved me!
YJ: (Whilst nodding) The performance that time was unforgettable~
HC: Oi, didn’t you worry for me?!
― Eh! Were you ok?
HC: (Proudly) Well~ I’m ok now. I really panicked back then.
― Ah, ok. Is that so. Was there anything else?
ZL: I have something! It was from the concert around 3 years ago and we were supposed to go on stage whilst singing after listening to the intro in the side wings, but the mic turned on during the intro!
HC: It’s not about this tour?
ZL: Is that so? I’m sorry.
― Ah, it’s ok. And then?
ZL: Ah. (Smiles shyly) Back then, our voices were leaked to the audience, saying things like “Ah, you laughed” or “there are a lot of people today”. It was ok since we were making harmless chatter, but if it was something bad…… Just thinking about that still gives me the chills.
YJ: That’s true. If we said “that girl’s cute” “which one?” or something it would’ve been bad (laughs).
― Eh, do you keep tabs on stuff like that (laughs)?
YJ: I don’t
DH: He does.
YJ: I don’t!
― (Laughs). Even on the stage, I often see Daehyun fooling around with the other members, but have you [other members] ever gotten annoyed?
YJ: (Immediately) It always annoys me!
ZL: I do find it a bit bothersome sometimes.
HC: He’s born with it so there’s nothing we can do.
JU: Aah, I’m already used to it.
(A moment of silence)
― How about Yongguk?
YG: …… He doesn’t do it to me so (laughs)
ALL: (Bursts out with laughter)
― Eh (laughs)? Is that because Yongguk is scary or something?
DH: (Awkwardly) No no no no
YG: Hahahaha, that’s not it.
HC: Because it seems like he’ll get angry (laughs)?
YG: But I purposely get angry before going on stage.
― Angry? Not shouting? For example, shouting “Yah!” (Often shouted before arguing with something)?
YG: Hahaha. No, I don’t do that, I just get angry. I make it so that I go on stage angry.
― Why is that?
YG: It’s to keep myself spirited. To show the best stage, I need to pump myself up (laughs).
HC: Wellll, in our leader’s case, the effect doesn’t show to the MC (laughs).
“Whether cool or pop, we’re happy as long as we have music!”
“Even if I have someone I like, I won’t be able to approach them or anything”
― In the lyrics for “GOOD TIME”, there’s the phrase “unchanging things”. What’s something that you think that “this hasn’t changed” or “it hasn’t changed”?
YG: I’ve liked music ever since I was young, so I think that hasn’t changed. More than going out and having fun, and enjoying the time I spend quietly at the studio creating music is something that hasn’t changed either.
― Won’t you get a headache if you hole yourself up in the studio all the time?
YG: I do get a headache sometimes, but staying inside the studio is much more comfortable for me than going out. It’s been like that since middle school and that hasn’t changed at all.
― You have the image that you’re not afraid of anything, but is there anything that you’re actually afraid of
YG: Hmmm…
― For example, there’s the image that you’re not afraid of ghosts and things right?
YG: Females! I’m scared of females!
― Did something happen? (Moves closer) Could you please give us more detail?
YG: (Pulls back a little) Eh? No no, there’s nothing in particular. I think any male will think that way (laughs).
― In a radio show, you confessed that you were approached by 5 females and turned them all down with the reason that “I don’t have the time for dating”. There’s the idea that dating will provide a good influence to music, but what do you think about that?
YG: I don’t think I can say that there’s no influence. But at that time I was being considerate. Furthermore, I’m someone who loves my work, so we probably wouldn’t have been able to stay together forever……
― I think there are many females who would still be ok even with that.
YG: Firstly, there isn’t anyone who I can consult to about these things, and there isn’t anyone who would tell me them either so (laughs).
― By the way, if it was you in the same situation and you were rejected with the same reason, how would you feel?
YG: Hmm, I think that would hurt me too. And so, before both of us are hurt, I rejected them (laughs).
― Are you starting to feel sorry to the females who approached you?
YG: I guess so. Even if I have someone I like, I won’t go and approach them or anything.
― Eh, you won’t approach them even if there’s a female that you like?
YG: Hahaha, I haven’t ever before! It’s often that it starts and ends as a one-sided love.
― If you were to date, does it seem like the members will realise immediately?
YG: I guess so. If I were to date, I feel like everyone will realise straightaway. I think it’ll show through my aura and face.
― Is that so. (How unfortunate……) By the way, is there anything else like ghosts that you’re scared of?
YG: I don’t find them scary, but I’m very interested in ghosts. Actually, when I’m by myself in the spacious studio at night, I often get the chills.
― Ah, I’ve heard that ghosts come out at studios and the like a lot. But isn’t there the rumour that you’ll gain popularity if ghosts come out?!
YG: Well no, I haven’t actually met one (laughs). I haven’t met a ghost yet, so that’s why I’m not popular? Hahahaha.
“From way back, when I’ve decided to do something, I will definitely do it!”
― In the lyrics for “GOOD TIME”, there’s the phrase “unchanging things”. What’s something that you think that “this hasn’t changed” or “it hasn’t changed”?
HC: When I think “I have to do this!” about something, I must complete it and that hasn’t changed.
― For example, what sort of things?
HC: Everything. If I think “let’s eat!”, then I’ll eat, and if I think “let’s sleep!”, then I’ll sleep.
― (It’s a bit different to what I thought) but I see. If you decided “I’m going to eat this today!” but don’t get to eat it, do you get very annoyed?
HC: No I will defnitely eat it. There hasn’t been a time where I didn’t eat something after I’ve decided to eat it. Bahahahaha. Other than eating of course, if I think “I have to do this!”, then I’ll definitely do it.
― Could your personality perhaps have changed from before?
HC: My personality has changed quite a bit. I feel like it’s changed as I’ve aged. There were many things that I didn’t understand in the past, but I think my ability to comprehend has widened now. I wonder if this is what they call the power of humans. Bahahahaha.
― The lyrics of “GOOD TIME” give its listeners courage, but what do you do to rid yourself of worries when you feel unsettled?
HC: Honestly, I’ve never felt unsettled.
― How! You didn’t feel unsettled even before debuting?
HC: That I did. But I always try to think optimistically and positively and think “It’s ok! It’ll work out somehow!” and “I can do this!”. So I don’t tend to consider anything as impossible. If I think “it’s going to go well”, then it somehow ends up fine.
― You seem to have many friends regardless of gender, but do you think friendships can work between males and females?
HC: I think it works. But my friend who I’ve been friends with for forever, had someone who she was going out with before I realised!
― Even though you were friends for a long time?
HC: That’s right. We were friends for around 15 years and now she’s dating. I think, they’ve just hit the 6 month mark? Witnessing that, it’s made me think about it a little.
― Well then, if you had a lover and was suspected by her when she saw you hanging out with a female friend, how would you resolve the misunderstanding?
HC: I’ll make it so that I don’t go out with female friends so there’s nothing to worry about. But if she sees me [with a female friend] in the off chance, then I’ll assert that “it’s a stranger!”. It’s for her sake and my consideration with the power of humans. Bahahahaha.
“My eyes are charming (laughs)? But I can’t wink properly”
― In the lyrics for “GOOD TIME”, there’s the phrase “unchanging things”. What’s something that you think that “this hasn’t changed” or “it hasn’t changed”?
DH: Engrossing and doing my absolute best with practise is something that has never changed. More like, I’ve worked hard so that it doesn’t change. Maybe thanks to that hard work, I’m able to feel very satisfied and blessed.
― Then is there any two people who makes you think “seeing these two’s exchanges make me happy”.
DH: Himchan hyung and Jongup! They’re really like comedians and are funny. You wouldn’t think that Jongup would have that image at the start, but I’ve fallen for his humour after being with him for so long. Just watching them two’s conversation makes me happy (laughs).
― By the way, it seems like you’ve grown taller but is your height 180cm?
DH: That’s right! I’ve grown a lot compared to the past. I don’t know since I didn’t measure it properly, but I was 177cm when I checked 2 years ago, so I think I’ve grown since then.
― Could it be that you’ve been drinking milk or something?
DH: Ah, I love milk! I might’ve drank 3 litres of milk today (laughs)!
― Not just your face is good looking, but for you to have grown taller as well…… Talking about which, it seems that you’ve been called Busan’s Wonbin right……
DH: (Before the interviewer finished with her question) No, that’s misinformation…… (Smiles shyly)
― Ah excuse me. I think your best charm point are your eyes after all. Even if you fail at something, have you used those eyes to gloss over it? For example, making girls go head over heels with a single wink?
DH: Hahaha, there’s nothing like that~! Because I can’t even wink properly. Therefore I haven’t done it outside of filming before.
― I feel that you’re the member who takes the most care with your hair, but which was your favourite hairstyle out of the ones that you’ve had so far?
DH: Hmm. I had silver hair during “1004″ and I really liked it. I think that hairstyle suited me the most.
― On the reverse, what’s the hairstyle that you never want to have again?
DH: That time where it faded to yellow. But I’m already this age and it might not suit me. It’s not good for the skin either.
― Then, what’s an encounter that’s changed you?
DH: Meeting with the members. Till then, I was like a child and only ever thought about myself. But after meeting the members, I’ve learnt social skills, how to understand each other and how to respect amongst various things.
― I think you’re around the age where you think “I want to have fun” and “I want to have a lover too”, what do you think about that?
DH: To be honest, it’s true that I’ve thought like that before. (Serious face) But work is number one right now. It hasn’t been long since we’ve come back but doing a tour is something that I wouldn’t have dreamed about!
“I think my smooth and supple skin is inherited from my mother (shy)”
― In the lyrics for “GOOD TIME”, there’s the phrase “unchanging things”. What’s something that you think that “this hasn’t changed” or “it hasn’t changed”?
YJ: When I first became a singer, I was very embarrassed. Although I say that, it was because I didn’t have confidence in myself. But ever since the fans who support us have grown, I’ve gained confidence and became able to work hard for that. This hard working side of me is the “something that hasn’t changed”.
― I see. After being together for such a long time, is there any two people who you think “these two’s exchanges are interesting~”?
YJ: Ohh, that would be Himchan hyung and Jongup. As everyone knows, Jongup’s actions are very interesting, but Himchan hyung has polished up with his interestingness lately.
― By the way, you’ve been closing your eyes often on the photos you upload on instagram lately right? Is there any reason for that?
YJ: I received that question from fans too! But there’s no special meaning to it (laughs). That’s just how I took it.
― It looks somewhat cute (laughs).
YJ: Ah~ no (laughs).
― Your skin is so nice that it doesn’t lose out to that of a females, but is there some secret trick that you do?
YJ: Actually, it’s from my mother. She has smooth and supple skin….. (Smiles shyly) So I think it’s genetics. I don’t do anything in particular…… but I drink water often.
― Is it just normal water? How much do you usually drink?
YJ: It’s normal water. I just drink whenever I’m free sort of thing. I drink about 2~3 litres a day.
― You have a strong degree of jyoshiryoku [T/N: Literally “female power”; it refers to things like being good at cooking, maintaining your skin/appearance etc] (laughs). If your lover told you to wear the same clothes to go out, what would you do?
YJ: I don’t really like it. But if my lover asked me, then I think I’ll do it.
― I see. You answered “I want to do a reality show with the 6 of us!” in some Korean interview, but what do you want to do in general?
YJ: I want to rent a car and have fun overseas. I want to show the real sides of the members. In truth, many fans have said that they want to see that.
― Is there anything about the members that you think “I can’t show them that”?
YJ: There’s nothing in particular, but aa~h (laughs). It’s about Himchan hyung, it’s ok that he’s being himself, but there are times where he acts like an old man……
― (Laughs). What sort of things for example?
YJ: I guess when he becomes the old man from next door. There’s nothing we can do about it since that’s his natural self, but we have an image to keep as B.A.P, so those parts might have to be cut during editing (laughs).
“Himchan hyung is interesting too but…… there are more times where he’s not~”
― Who do you think that “this person is interesting”? Actually, everyone chose you.
JU: Me? Hahaha
― From Daehyun to Himchan, I heard that you’re talkative although you look like the quiet type.
JU: Aah~ I think I might be the type to talk a lot only when I have something to say.
― Then please, talk a lot today!
JU: I’m a shy person so……. sorry. Ah, Himchan hyung is interesting too but…… (stops in his tracks) Yeah but there are more times where he’s not~ Daehyun hyung’s actions and expression are far more interesting than mine.
― Daehyun also said that your actions were interesting.
JU: Daehyun hyung is someone with a sense of humour. Furthermore, just looking at him is interesting isn’t it (laughs)?
― That’s true (laughs). You like the manga “Haikyuu!”, but which character do you like the most?
JU: The protagonists are very charming. There are characters like the clumsy protagonist and his friends with genius abilities and it’s really interesting. It has passion, dreams and talent, so watching that anime makes me look back on myself.
― With regards to work, the song “NOW” that you penned and composed receivd a great response didn’t it. How were the members’ reactions when you showed them the finished piece?
JU: When I was in the early stages of composing, Daehyun hyung came to the studio, but he didn’t say anything. But when I showed them the completed song, Himchan hyung too said “it’s really good!” to me.
― There’s the rea~lly sweet line of “Now, at this moment. Hold onto me tightly and stay just like that”, but is this penned from a real experience?
JU: No no (sweats)!! I thought to have some lyrics that would resonate with someone’s heart, so I imagined various things with my friend.
― From the recent happenings, is there anything that you think “right now, I want to remember this moment”?
JU: The Ultra Music Festival was held in Korea a while ago, and we had a little break during the tour so I went to it. It was really fun~ That moment was truly unforgettable.
― Then to the fans, is there anything that you think “remember this moment with us”?
JU: Listening to our music, watching our performances at the concerts; I want them to remember every moment. If you support us, we’ll definitely repay your expectations. And like that, the fans and us will spend the years together. I think this will definitely become a lifelong memory. I’d like them to remember those moments too, but I think it’ll be nice if we’re together for the coming decades as well.
“If I were to write words in the sand, I think I would write “Annyeong”. Because greetings are important!”
― In the lyrics for “GOOD TIME”, there’s the phrase “unchanging things”. What’s something that you think that “this hasn’t changed” or “it hasn’t changed”?
ZL: Originally, even before I started music, I had many friends and was sociable. But I became very shy after starting music. And then I didn’t go out much and became sort of a shut-in. I think this was what’s changed.
― Even now?
ZL: There’s that, but I’ve become more sociable like I was before and am able to talk to various people. People change don’t they (laughs).
― The lyrics of “GOOD TIME” give its listeners courage, but if the fans were feeling unsettled, what would you say to them?
ZL: This is a difficult question. (Thinks for a moment) If they get worried, I’ll prepare so that they won’t get worried. If it was a fan who’s younger than me, I’d like to convey to them to consult with the people around them and listen well to what they’re told.
― Who do you think that “this person is interesting”?
ZL: It’s Daehyun hyung. He’ll do these voice imitations. But all the hyungs are interesting. They each have their own character too.
― There were many that said it was Jongup though.
ZL: That’s what’s said at all the interviews, but I don’t really know. All the members are interesting.
― You’re the youngest, but I feel like your way of speech and thoughts are like that of the eldest. Has anyone told you that before?
ZL: I haven’t been told that much in particular. All the members are unique and make me laugh with their expressions and tell me interesting stories so it’s really fun every day.
― Was there an episode that made you howl with laughter?
ZL: Just talking amongst ourselves makes me laugh a lot. For example, whilst talking about interesting topics, someone would talk about something else and the mood would plummet, but then that makes us laugh and it’s an endless cycle (laughs).
― Seeing it’s summer, if you were to write something in the sand, what would you write?
ZL: Ahh~ They do that often in movies and such (laughs). I haven’t tried it before, but I think I’d write “Annyeong” if I had to write something. It’s my first time after all. A greeting. Let’s put in a “?” too.
― You said on a program that Emma Watson from “Harry Potter” was your type, but is that still true?
ZL: It hasn’t changed! She’s very charming, pretty, cute……
― If you were to discuss matters of love with one of the members, who would you choose?
ZL: I think I would consult with all of them (laughs). I think I would consult with everyone that I rely on.
― If you were to date, do you think the members will realise from your face and expressions?
ZL: I don’t really know but…… From experience I think they’d know…… I think, they’ll find out (smiles shyly).

― The two who are famous as the dad (Yongguk) and mom (Himchan) of the group. It’s said between the fans that between you two, “even without words, they know what the other is thinking”, but do you think you can read the other’s mind?
HC: (Immediately) Yes. That is something that all the members can do now.
YG: We’ve been together for a long time after all.
HC: I especially know when they’re 100% angry. With people, there are certain actions that come out only when they’re angry right? For example, Yongguk’s face will first darken. He’s too honest of a guy and it all shows on his face.
― Doesn’t it show on your face Himchan?
HC: Me? I will say I’m angry when I am.
― In the past, when Yongguk said that Himchan couldn’t control his emotions, is that what you were referring to?
YG: I said something like that?
HC: I remember. It was just once, but you said it on TV.
YG: I don’t remember.. Well, it’s the truth anyway (laughs). Although Himchan is quick tempered, he cheers up immediately so that makes it easy to be with him.
HC: It’s just, I find my angered self unsightly.
YG: I’m estranged from the emotion called anger. Even if I’m displeased, I don’t get angry. Maybe I’m getting old?
HC: It’s your age.
― You cheer up right away and then you don’t even get angry in the first place. This won’t do. There’s this next question, “if there’s something you’re unsatisfied about the other, what punishment would you do”, so, how about it (laughs)?
HC: Punishment?! Me to Yongguk?!
YG&HC: (Laughs out loud)

― The fans say that “they’re like Tom and Jerry” seeing your little competitions on stage, but who do you think is Jerry?
DH: In my opinion, I’m Tom and Himchan hyung is Jerry.
HC: I feel like it changes depending on the time and place.
DH: That’s true, I guess it works both ways.
HC: Wait a moment, was Jerry the intelligent mouse?
DH: Did you hear that (laughs)? That part is Tom-like.
― Ahh (laughs). I heard that Daehyun snapped at Himchan recently, but is that the truth?
DH: Eh, I wonder what that was.
HC: It’s the truth. (Pointing at Daehyun) He’s a mean dongsaeng.
DH: (Remembers something) Ah~ Himchan hyung promised “I’ll lose weight” to me the other day. And recently he’s a bit…… you know right? Even so, he still keeps eating. That’s what I got angry about.

“We’re going to go so far? Isn’t the food stall in front of the dorm good enough?”
― From K-BOY’s investigations, the exchanges between you two are “heartwarming” according to the fans and are without a doubt the most popular [pairing]. It seems like it’s good when Youngjae who’s usually aloof to Daehyun acts like a child towards Daehyun.
DH: Aloof? Ahahaha! That’s true, I’m the type who likes to stick to others. Youngjae is originally a brusque type, but maybe he’s accepting me because we’re the same age (laughs).
YJ: (Daehyun says “aloof” [T/N: “Tsun-tsun; can also mean ‘poke’] and starts attacking Youngjae’s side) Stop it! Whenever Daehyun sticks to me, it’s when I have something that I want to do or say. (Daehyun continues to attack him relentlessly) Stop it!
DH: Yes yes! (Whilst attacking Daehyun’s side) I don’t think of anything and am the type to say whatever at that moment, but I only talk with Youngjae when I know that he’ll find it funny. This is what happens on stage, but I think that Youngjae definitely uses me (laughs).
YJ: Yes, I do. More like, Daehyun often messes up so I follow up after him.
― I see. The two of you are the same age, but is there anything that you think is similar between you two?
YJ: There’s a lot. Even the environment where we were brought up was similar. So there’s a lot of things that we can resonate on.
DH: For example, learning to sing from a young age and going to net cafes and karaokes for fun.
YJ: Also, liking soju too (laughs).
DH&YJ: Bahahahaha!
― Recently the chances for two-shots between you two have been slim and it seems like many fans have been saddened from it. We asked MYNAME’s JunQ “do you keep in contact with each other?”, and Youngjae replied “No. We live in the same dorm after all”. Does that lessen the time you have fun together?
DH: No, we play when it’s time to play. Chatting at the dorms is sort of like playing to me as well.
YJ: There’s various things, like what’s happened recently, hot topics and gossip between the members.
― If the two of you were to go somewhere, where would you want to go to?
DH: (Immediately) New Zealand! I liked it a lot when we went for work last time. It’s quiet and the air’s nice. I want to go and relax there. It’s not as if I have to go with Youngjae though (laughs). Huhu.
YJ: We’re going to go so far? Isn’t the food stall in front of the dorm good enough?
DH: That’s true. A bottle of soju and oden is good enough (laughs).

― The fans decided that Zelo who is usually the most reserved with the hyungs, is very open only to Youngjae. Why is Zelo open to Youngjae?
ZL: Hey! I’m open to all the members! Please don’t say such things that’ll cause misunderstandings!
YJ: Hm? Does that mean that I don’t have the gravitas of the elders?
ZL: Like I said. I respect everyone, I respect everyone!
― (Without flinching) Zelo, Youngjae always meddles with you, but honestly, have you ever found it annoying?
ZL: Like I saiddd (cries). Please stop with these leading questions. It’s not often…… but I have [found it annoying before].
YJ: You have (laughs)!
ZL: Sometimes I have. Sometimes he’s just too crazy.
YJ: The maknae’s cute so I can’t help but mess with him. But I had realised that he didn’t accept it (laughs). I do think it’s annoying after all (laughs).
ZL: But when I’m the one messing around, you find it annoying right?
YJ: (Laughs out loud) It’s often that it’s the other way right(laughs)!
ZL: That’s right. I wanted to tell this to the hyungs! I have times where I find it annoying too! There are things that even I want to butt into! It’ll be nice if they could understand that. It’ll be good if I could say these easier in 2,3 years…..
YJ: Ho~ (Whilst grinning) I’ll look forward to it.
ZL: I spoke out of line, I’m sorry.
― You’re a good combo after all! Do you spend a lot of time together?
ZL: We’re roommates when we go overseas. And then sometimes, Youngjae hyung will carry my suitcase for me. I have a bit of respect for him at those sort of times.
YJ: There’s not a bit right (laughs)
ZL: Then just a slight bit (laughs).
YJ: Jeez (laughs). But even when we’re together, we don’t usually talk this much. And hence after we return to the hotel after the concert, it becomes very quiet.
ZL: Yes yes. So much that we can hear the next door talking.
YJ: Wellll, that’s just the people next door talking loudly (laughs).

“Zelo has mature thinking but his mental age is 14″
“Jongup hyung too has a mental age of 14 though!”
― The pair who were popular with the fans for their innocence have well and truly grown up now. The both of you are similar in age and thought processes, but is there a moment that made you think ‘ah I’m an adult’?
JU: Different to his appearance, Zelo is a guy with mature thinking, so there’s nothing weird about his mentality. His face has matured tho. (Stifles a laugh) But there a times where he suddenly does really childish things. At those times, his mental age falls below 14 (laughs).
ZL: (Seemingly a bit offended) 14?!
JU: (A little panicked) No no, I mean his mental age is higher than his real age, but it reaches to about 14 when it’s low.
ZL: Then how many years is it when it’s high?
JU: (Hastily) See, there are times where to acts before thinking right? I think that he’s young at times like that……
ZL: So just how old (laughs)?!
JU: I don’t know how old so please let it go……
ZL: Jongup hyung too has a mental age of 14 though ok!
― (A little troubled) Well then, the two of you have choreographed together, but how did you create it? What choreography do you want to do as B.A.P?
JU: More than saying we’ll do this today, more often than not, it’s completed whilst we’re playing around and freestyling.
ZL: What I want to try is choreography that appeals to the member’s personalities. For example, Yongguk’s profound raps are his specialty, so a choreography that focuses on the rap whilst we’re on the side fueling the atmosphere, or since Youngjae hyung has his own dance style, arranging it coolly for him or so. For Daehyun hyung, it’s that. He looks like he’ll be good at acrobatics. Like flying somewhere whilst he’s singing (laughs). Uhuhu.
JU: Then Himchan hyung can be the foundation [for Daehyun’s acrobats] (grins)
― Zelo messes around with Youngjae who’s older, whilst Jongup messes with Himchan who’s older right. Is there a member that you think “if possible, I want to mess around with this hyung”?
ZL: If I answer that question, I’ll get hit by the hyungs (laughs). Firstly, in Youngjae hyung’s case, more than meddling with Youngjae hyung, it’s more about him paying attention to me. He’ll get angry if I meddle with him at my own timing (laughs). This is a bit regretful, but the hyungs think that it’s ok to mess with me, and yet it’s not ok when I do it to the hyungs. At those times, I’ll half jokingly, half seriously think “when will it be maknae on top!” (laughs).
JU: Zelo’s always the one to be messed with so there are times where you’ve felt a little hurt right?
ZL: Yes (laughs). So if they’re nice to me, I immediately think “I like this hyung” (laughs).
JU: How pure~

― Out of the members, it seems like the two of you spent the longest time together. Please tell us about some memories you shared as trainess
YG: Memories? There aren’t any (laughs).
― That’s not going to work (laughs).
YG: Hmm~ (Thinks for a moment and starts grinning) Ah, I remember. When we first met, Jongup told me “practise your rap” (laughs).
JU: (Face going bright red) I found out afterwards that he was famous in the rap world (bitter smile).
YG: That’s why I practised my very best (laughs).
JU: (Trying to change the subject) When we first met, Yongguk hyung was younger than I am now. Even when I think about it now, he was very mature.
YG: Do you want to say that I’m like an old man (laughs)?
JU: Don’t make a retort (cries)
― (Laughs). When you two are alone, what do you talk about?
YG: Talk? We don’t do that much (laughs). We both immerse ourselves into what we need to do. (Realises Jongup’s sad expression) But we converse through our eyes, our eyes.
― Jongup! If you had some request to ask of Yongguk who’s saying this [what would it be]?
JU: (Whilst giving quick glances to Yongguk) Th-there’s none. Even if I request it, it’s a bit.
YG: !!?? (Bursts with laughter!?)
JU: He’s always thinking and worrying about us, so I only need to obey him.
YG: Somehow, I feel like something’s going to come at me (laughs). Jongup is really interesting~ (Hugs his shoulders)
― Well then, if Jongup were to be in charge of composing and Yongguk in charge of choreography, what songs would you compose and what dances would you choreograph?
YG: Let’s see. Jongup has composed recently. He might be able to release some songs for B.A.P soon?
― Did you teach him?
YG: No (laughs).
JU: If I had something I was curious about, I would ask him….. More than having him teach me, it was a process of me learning by myself. If I were to sing with everyone else, I’d like to compose a R&B song. Right now, I’ve been composing with my friend, but I’ve sang it once at the concert before too. The response was pretty good so I’m going to work hard on it.
― Well then Yongguk, what choreography will you create?
YG: I’m going to make the choreography (laughs)? If so, I’ll make it freestyle from the intro till the end (laughs). But if you mention dance, then it’s gotta be Jongup. What would you do Jongup?
JU: I think freestyling is good (sweats).
B.A.P Photostudio - Undercover Infiltration Report
Now their 5th time featuring on our magazine. When we first met, Himchan seemed to have his hands full taking care of the two maknaes, but now the two of them have grown up and on the reverse, they’re taking care of Himchan (who’ll go off somewhere if you take your eyes off him). Watching such a heartwarming scene and witnessing the unchanging bond between the members was the continually aging K-BOY staff department.
Bang Yongguk
To the side of the members flocking over to the hamburger souvenirs, Yongguk was there looking at the contents of the shopping card. When I ask him “what’s up?”, he murmured “that beer, can I drink it?”. I reply to him “you can’t during the photoshoot, but please take it with you when we’re finished”, and he grins whilst checking for the brand (laughs).
Himchan
When we asked “please put the popcorn in your mouth” during the photoshoot, Himchan responded apologetically that “I’m in the middle of a diet so I can’t eat it”. But according to Zelo and Jongup who found Himchan, who had suddenly disappeared during the interview, he was outside the studio with his mouth full of the souvenir hamburgers (laughs).
Daehyun
Daehyun who was the most pumped about the photoshoot. When we asked him to “go crazy with the whipped cream spray”, he aimed at Youngjae and sprayed! Or so he pretended to, but ended up spraying a lot of it in his mouth (?). And then whilst his mouth was full of cream, he suddenly started laughing! Which then made him choke and turn into Daehyun asking for help (laughs).
Youngjae
Right after the photoshoot began, Youngjae’s eyes became dreamy. “ When I tell him “you’re somewhat sexy today”, he nodded and shyly smiled with “I just ate so I’m a little sleepy”. Closing his eyes for his selfies lately has been going around amongst the fans lately, but maybe he’s sleepy most of the time when he’s taking selfies?
Jongup
Regardless of the person, during the photoshoot, Jongup had the other members test the snacks they had to put in their mouth for poison first. And the one who became his victim over and over was Himchan. Even though he objected, saying “I’m on a diet!”, Jongup would carry himself toward Himchan. Whether Himchan knew the true reason, it will forever be a mystery.
Zelo
Seeing the shopping card and raising his voice excitedly with “is this perhaps a snack party?” is Zelo. Opening whatever bags of snacks he can reach, he’ll throw it to the members, going into a solo Setsubun [T/N: A festival celebrating the start of spring] mode (laughs). And yet, we felt the consideration he had for the hyungs by throw not hard candy, but things like gummies and marshmallows.
Boys who flock around hambourgers, this is the most favoured food of K-BOYS
It’s not just those! We love BLTs too!! And so, whilst carrying the routine souvenir of BLT hamburgers, we dashingly infiltrated the photostudio. And then, smelling the food, Daehyun came up to us. He asks us “can I eat this?” and does so with spectacularly round eyes. Hearing that, the other members come up too and are all dazed as well. Firstly Jongup takes a bite from Daehyun’s burger. Taking that surprise attack, Zelo takes another bite on the other side. Even though it’s his burger being eaten, Daehyun looks somewhat happy. It’s this, this sort of playing is exactly “I’m lovin’ it”!
