summer camping field trip~
I understand that this is an extremely boomer ungrateful opinion for me to have but i really really wish we would’ve gotten a remake of genealogy before the newer fire emblem games (as cool as fortunes weave looks).
I dunno man, it’s now been 30 years since genealogy released. I really really wish it would get a remake made with so much love and respect like fe 2 got with SoV. but SoV came out 9 years ago now so it doesn’t seem likely that IS is planning on any new remakes anytime soon. I dunno, it’s really sad to me that fe4 and 5 are so insanely inaccessible to play (it’s gotten better in recent years but fe 5 did not have a proper fan translation until 2021!!!). it really feels like it’s genealover sometimes guys…
oh also I would give my left buttcheek to hear an official HD remaster of Eldigan the Lionheart, it would sound so beautiful and sorrowful with real instruments and it would actually make me cry. Oh and also voice acted battle of belhalla
takeru’s dub name is really funny to me because Theodore Hamilton genuinely sounds like the name of a missing founding father. imagine if revolvers dub name was Robert Clinton
hm…
There's a cool Undertale SOUL trait quiz going around, I'm Undertale Yellow.
A weighted assessment of the seven human soul virtues.
guys i would’ve shat myself if there was a quiz like this back in 2017. so so so cool but it’s a little clunky on mobile because of the text scroll. im also justice but I think kindness and bravery were tied for second so I got the shounen protag build fr.
just received the best set of messages from my brother in my whole life
big fan of the subterror cards. i like how they all spawn into the field when another subterror goes into set mode. That’s real friendship right there.
I'm not going to make it
headcanon of mine that im convinced is true on a meta level. The reason why 6-year-olds specifically were chosen for the lost incident is because the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is for ages 6 and older.
Crimes against humanity are one thing, but breaking Konami’s rules? That’s a line even Kogami refuses to cross.
a bit weird but one of my favorite things about interacting with people from different countries is learning about which US candies they really want to try. I keep assuming they’d be most interested in the more insane candies we have, like the nerds gummy clusters with the syrup filling, or the gummy skittles coated in chili powder. this hypothesis keeps getting proven wrong however.
in [SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRY OF ORIGIN], children seemed really interested in sour patch kids, and I know there’s a knockoff brand over there that’s quite popular. Probably the least surprising one of the bunch, sour patch are still pretty popular in the us. Everyone also likes individually wrapped sticks of gum, because apparently they stopped selling those over there.
My auntie who moved to Germany was completely dumbfounded at the existence of lifesaver gummies when she came to visit. I ended up buying her three large bags of them over the course of her visit because she was such a big fan of them (based tbh, those are fire).
weirdest one though were the italians. We mailed a care package of sweets over there for a family friend a year back. and for some reason, the one that appealed to them the most were zotz? Like, these hard candy drops with a powder mixture of baking soda and citric acid in the middle, so after the hard candy dissolves enough, the powder gets wet and starts fizzing. Apparently they were really popping off on Italian tiktok at some point, and they were ecstatic to receive them. Very funny to me because they’re kind of considered pretty mid and obscure over here.
Fat Horse No. 34
It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! Here’s another one for the fans of Japanese thoroughbred racing - never give up!
This piece will be part of a herd of fat horses at Furrydelphia, August 7-9th!
guys im gonna cry. I just found out my mom’s been writing the names of all her new friends from school in her notebooks alongside her notes. She’s all like “ive met so many cool new people today! :D” as if that isn’t the sweetest thing ever
I have so many highly specific design opinions from spending too much time over the years drawing yugioh stuff, but I do really love Ryoken’s hand tattoo so much. It does everything. When he’s introduced and we don’t know what his face looks like, it identifies his character in real world settings, though in a vaguely unsettling way where we can’t read his emotions. Then, the more you think about it, it’s kind of funny slash endearing that (presumably) he graphic designed a logo for the terrorist organization daddy put him in charge of, and he’s proud enough of it to get it permanently etched onto his skin. And then you think more about his whole deal. How he’s one of the few characters who goes out of their way to design a Link Vrains avatar that looks unique enough from their real appearance to actually disguise himself competently, but he has this identifying mark on his physical being. Is the part of him who called the authorities on his father ten years ago crying out to be recognized and judged for his crimes? Is that part of him constantly struggling against his love for the scientists who raised him and his closest friend whose entire identity is attached to this organization (and who may not know Ryoken tried to destroy it once). Does he have a Pantone swatch for it or just a hexadecimal? Did any of the lieutenants scold him for getting the tattoo as the people who raised him, or do they not question him as their leader?
only tangentially related but this post got me wondering. Which of the knights of hanoi own a tattoo gun. because idk if Ryoken would be willing to reveal his identity as a terrorist to someone who isn’t a random 16-year-old boy right. This is the same guy that bought an unmarked yacht to prevent his terrorist group from getting tracked down by the government (and also leaves the front door of his house unlocked i guess). I feel like getting one of his lieutenants to learn how to use a tattoo gun instead of going to an artist is the exact type of convoluted bullshit he would go through to “maintain anonymity” even though he’s very poorly covering up his tracks through everything op already explained.
anyway my vote goes to genome or baira. I think I’d trust those two the most with being able to properly handle a tattoo gun. They did a good job too because the placement and the fine lines came out perfectly!
my mom has a thing for her English professor. How is this a canon event for so many people
update she no longer thinks he’s hot. She says it’s because she didn’t have her glasses on and couldn’t see him that well 🐟
my mom has a thing for her English professor. How is this a canon event for so many people
just picked up my mom from her first day of school. oh, how the turn tables….
hey so fun fact if you happen to play the game at 8:05 AM on a monday you will accidentally become the World Horse Champion
