one of my smaller recoil hcs is that, if he tried to/wanted to, soulburner could have a way meaner death glare than revolver does. like part of this is they're both performing like crazy so often in opposite directions (soulburner that he's a normal, harmless guy and revolver playing up how antagonistic he is) and soulburner's flavor hides that no he really can fuck you up.

being a soulburner fan is a lil rough becuase you'll come across unpopular opinion threads and have to be like. yeah his w/l ratio is a bit borked (i would personally have him lose to aoi at first, that win was bs, but then have her have an Am I The Bad Guy Here moment so that doesnt just kill flame then and there). yeah he gets A Lot of focus and love. but have you considered: i like him and he deserves it. go get 'em sweetie you're doing a great job

like i won't stick up for crow like that, i do think crow came at a bad time of 5ds when things were heating up and didn't have enough relation to the conflict going on to make up for the screentime, and i do think soulburner relates really interestingly to vrains's themes about trauma and moving on from that (and also. it was an insane decision to make him adn revolver each other's keys to finally moving on but they did that and it is a damn good duel so). i can get how he'd grate if you're not a fan but i do think he's a solid character, even if the focus is a bit sudden and sharp
